Ashton:
"Hey (Y/N), can you drop off these gifts to Michael’s house on your way to the store?" Ashton asked you, making your stomach tighten in annoyance. You weren’t annoyed by Ashton’s request, you were annoyed that it involved Michael.
You and Michael had never really gotten along, but Ashton never really took notice of the tension between you two. “Sure thing, Ash.” You reply against your better wishes to say no, taking the rather heavy bag of gifts from Ashton’s hand.
Driving to Michael’s was dreadful. You couldn’t help but wonder what Ashton meant by on the way, because Michael’s house was about 15 kilometers in the opposite direction of the shops. Your stomach was practically in your mouth by the time you pulled into Michael’s drive, you were definitely not anticipating going into his home but you had no choice.
"(Y/N)? Why the hell are you here?" Michael spat once he opened the door, glaring at you in confusion. You rolled your eyes, tossing the gifts lightly to his feet before you turned to walk away. "Answer my fucking question, (Y/N)."
"Ashton asked me to drop off the gifts. Now, if you’ll excuse me I’ve got to drive another thirty fucking kilometers just to pick up some milk." You snap, fed up with his attitude. He scoffed, storming down the drive towards you.
"Don’t you dare act like it’s my fault you’re too much of a little bitch to say no to Ashton." he growled, catching you off guard. You didn’t know where all of his pent up anger was even coming from, and to be honest, it scared you. A lot.
"It’s not your fault that I said yes to Ashton, it’s your fault that I’m now in a fucking bad mood on Christmas." You yelled at him before you got in your car and peeled out of his driveway angrily, pushing on the gas until you were way over the speed limit.
"What?" you answered your phone snappily, glaring at nothing in particular.
"I shouldn’t have made you go over to Michael’s… I knew you two didn’t get a long, and I was hoping you would work things out but I think I just made it worse. I’m sorry, (Y/N)." Ashton apologized quickly, melting your heart.
Calum:
"(Y/N), just leave me the fuck alone!" Luke shouted, roughly shoving past you and stomping into your backyard. Calum had stepped out briefly to go to the shops, and it seemed like as soon as he left Luke turned bitter.
"Luke, I’m sorry that I chose Calum! I just want my best friend back…" You cried, following him outside to find him sitting on a lounge chair with his head buried in his hands. "I can’t help my feelings, I can’t change what happened!"
"Exactly, you can’t change it! Dammit, that’s what I’ve been trying to say- you can’t change what happened, and you definitely can’t fucking change the fact that you played me like some little game. You can’t change the consequences of your actions, (Y/N)!" He screamed at you, his voice echoing through the eerily silent neighborhood as he continued to shout at you for past mistakes. Calum didn’t know, but when you first started dating you were still flirting with Luke.
Luke had originally been your best friend, maybe even friend with benefits but then he introduced you to Calum and you fell in love. Only problem was, Luke fell in love with you too. “I’m really trying here, Luke! Could you atleast act like a civil human being?”
"What the hell is going on?" Calum asked, startling you and Luke both. You turned around nervously, looking at Calum who was holding a sack from the shops while looking at you both expectantly.
