MotM- Simon Mignolet

(Saved his 7th penalty, making him like the best goal keeper ever, saved other little shots, didn't let cheaters ruin his night and tbh attacking isn't exactly up to scratch yet)

We're at risk of equaling a 94 year record of 4 Anfield losses in a row, naturally the next team is the one at the top of the league, luckily we can get up for a match like that.

So we've been pretending to be shit since united? (Obviously we've had some very non first team line ups between then and now, it's good to have all the first team on one pitch at last!)

Just when we think we can't be cheated in any other ways this month, Chelsea get a free kick that wasn't (I've listened to Howard Webb's argument and fair enough Clattenburg was behind them and didn't see the knee ball then they smushed together) but the free kick that was actually taken, all of Liverpool were setting up still, no one knew it was being taken whistle or not, it isn't fair and I couldn't give a shit how good it was cos the whole damn thing shouldn't have stood.

I wouldn't mind so much if this wasn't the (I've lost count) dubious goal this season and we get literally nothing back. Everything about our goal has to be perfect for it to stand, our free kicks have to be ones the ref can't ignore and penalties, what the fuck are they?

Rant over, soz!

I started the day really up for it, actually remembered to wear the shirt, woo! What I did forget was to get nervous cos fuck that and fuck them. While we're at it fuck them for thinking they're responsible for 2013/14, we fucked up just fine on our own!

It begins! We're okay, we're good and once again the opposition are so bad at passing to each other, the crowd's singing, everything's good,if we could just speed it up a little bit (remember the time before this month lads!)

Gini popped up with a shot, if only Courtois wasn't so lanky and good at his job.

It turns out that actual ex player commentators can't tell the difference between ice and a hot water bottle applied to Mane's leg. He needs to be warmed up he's just come from Africa to a freezing, raining Merseyside!

Half time and we're losing, again. Klopp better have something good to say, could do with Rafa in there to have a word (I've been thinking of Istanbul a bit much this week)

We come back faster and stronger.

Firmino doesn't realise he's got time and sends it to the stands, Lovren does the same, it can't be one of those days, it can't!

It's not, Henderson's ball, Milner's nod back and Gini's there to nod it in. We've got a GOAL! GINI's got a GOAL! IT. IS. ON!

I forget I'm in a uni flat and shout like I'm in Anfield, actually shouting at that. Brilliant!

Milner's back to getting the yellows of last season with that tackle on Moses.

Mane, oh Mane, Mane! He's back on.

(When Dad said Mane was 'coming back' he pronounced his name Marnie and I thought he meant a TV character or something, no idea who he was talking about!)

And Chelsea immediately get a penalty, shit that's worse! Go back to Africa!

(That's a stupid, stupid joke, sorry I done that)

A bit soft for me an not just cos I'm desperate not to have that goal scored. As usual, full confidence in Mignolet to save and he DID!

I forget I'm in a uni flat and shout like I'm in Anfield, again, maybe even louder. Mignolet has now saved 7 penalties in the Premier League since 2011/12; more than any other goalkeeper in that time. Get in, lad!

They can't even make anything of the corner from it. We're still in it!

Firmino's head could've saved the day and I wanted it so badly that I didn't see it go straight into Courtois' hands, not at first anyway.

We didn't get battered as everyone thought we would and as has been the case with every game this month, if we were in our rhythm we'd have won. Other than that stupid free kick, they never got that close to scoring so I can only assume we kept them at bay pretty well.

We like to draw against Chelsea at home.

This game was supposed to blow the PL wide open but Arsenal lost and Spurs drew so Chelsea are still 9 points ahead. I was gonna be hopeful for Spurs but they're clearly let downs so it does look like we all know where the trophy is going. Come on Chelsea, having a melt down is proper good fun, honest!

Palace have signed Sakho. See ya, mate, sorry you went to Palace and in the circumstances that you did. Ball Street's January deadline day is so boring, must be cos it's at Ball Street South, boo the South!

After a month where loyalty in football hasn't been called into question, it's been thrown our the window with the likes of Payet and Costa kicking up fusses cos they wanna move (and I think I've gone more negative than I meant to with this post) I'll leave you with these tweets to prove there is loyalty and love of a club to be with some players. I could include Gerrard celebrating Gini's goal but that's dead obvious.

Good bye January!!! Good. Bye. We knew it was gonna be a tough one, not this tough but we're through and out the other side, still in the top 4. Klopp definitely NOT out! 15 games left of 2016/17.
