Chapter One
"You're in terrible trouble girl,"
I sat up, as a scream erupted from my lips. I had the dream again; the dream about the ghost children, the Beldam almost trapping me into her second world, which let me tell you: wasn't a second world, but, just a spider web, where my "other mother" was going to eat my soul just like the other ghost children.
"Coraline!"
Mom and Dad burst into the room, looking worried, as blankets wrapped around Mom.
Oh, by the way, I tried telling everything to my parents, and they didn't believe me. Here's a wrap up of what had happened to me a year and a half ago.
I found a door.
In the daytime, the door was bricked up, and blocked from the three separate apartments in the Pink Palace.
In the night time, the door becomes a rainbow bridge that has alternate dimension powers. Now, here me out:
In the Alternate World, there is a strange lady whose name I don't know: All I know is we call her The Beldam.
The Beldam is this makeshift form of an alternate human being. Basically, she can turn herself into anyone she pleases and can get away with anything.
Long story short, I got tricked by her, and she tortured me into staying with her, but I escaped.
"Are you alright, honey?" Mom asked, as sweat was dripping down my face. I sighed, realizing it was a dream.
I nodded, as the two of them gave me a sympathy smile, before closing my door.

"You had the dream again?"
Wybie and I were walking to school with our bikes, as we were talking about the dream I had. I had told him about the ghost children's' voices that I had heard in the dream, which gave me chills down my spine.
"I'm sorry, Jonsie," He frowned. "I know what will make you feel better."
Wybie pulled out a metal tin box, that had a bunch of superheroes on the front, before opening the box. Inside, was a batch of Mrs. Lovat's famous chocolate chip cookies.
"Here," Wybie offered. He smiled, seeing my excitement. "My grandma made these yesterday."
"Mmhh..."
Mrs. Lovat's cookies were the best in our neighborhood. Maybe in the whole state of Oregon.
"Feel better?" Wybie asked, closing the tin box, and slipping it into his bag.
"Definitely."
