Maggie urban.Today was another day of school. Once I walked in, I walked in feeling pretty confident, but nervous at the same time. You see, my one best friend, Tamera and I just had a huge fight. She said that I have been ignoring her, but every time I talk to her, she's ignoring me. She's finding a way to blame this on me.
She's dating a guy that likes to start rumors a lot. He's a trouble maker. He does drugs, he's a drug dealer, and he's a player. Girls fall for his looks, but in my opinion, he looks like a squirrel and a blobfish had a baby. But, I knew my other friends will find a way to make me ignore this.
I went to my locker, putting my book bag in and grabbing my books as my friend Johnny walked past, smacking me in the head. "Hah!" He turned back laughing.
"What the hell is 'Hah!' Why can't you laugh like a man?" I asked. He stuck his tongue out at me and continued walking to his homeroom. I felt so short around him because he's 6'2, and I'm only 5'0.
I continued getting my English folder, notebook, and my pen before heading to my homeroom. When I got there, I sat where ever, talking to my friends since all 3 of them had the last name that started with an S or some letter after that. You see, the homerooms went alphabetically by grade. So yeah.
I heard we were getting a new kid today. Apparently, he's well known. I don't really know. I guess he is from L.A. or something. After a while, the bell rang and we waited for the announcements to come on. Once they were over, we continued talking.
Suddenly I heard the door open. Everyone turned their heads.
My heart stopped when I saw who it was. Mike Vitar. What was a famous person doing here?
I snapped out of my thoughts when the teacher started talking. My friend Taya nudged me.
"Your shirt." She whispered through her teeth. I looked down to see my Sandlot shirt. I grabbed my folder and hugged it to my stomach.
"Good! Hello there!" The too perky teacher exclaimed. "Everyone, please welcome Mike. He just came here from...." the teacher glanced at him.
"Los Angeles." He said. I didn't know what to do. The class mumbled a hi, some more excited than others. I quietly mumbled 'hello' since I was too nervous to talk.
"Alright, everybody sits in your assigned seats so we can get Mike in a spot." She told us.
I scrambled back to my seat as the teacher started calling our names. She got to the U's I'm the only U in the class. And then there was the V's. There was nobody with a v until now.
"Alright, Maggie Urban." She called. I slowly raised my hand. The teacher smiled, "Alright. It seems like you'll be sitting next to her!" She said. Oh great. This is going to be a great day.
