What's Not To Love?

Two years since you and Ace got together and you're now getting ready for the New Years Eve party downstairs. They've invited their most dearest friends; Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, Law, Robin, Nami, Franky, Shanks, Ben Beckman, Yasopp, e.c.t.  

Some of them you hadn't met before, like Franky, Ben and Yasopp so first impressions are everything. Your eyes scanning your reflection in the mirror, a pale blush on your cheeks. It's not exactly common for you to wear dresses so you couldn't help but think you look like an ogre trying to make itself look like a princess. 

Yep, I definitely resemble Princess Fiona.

"You look beautiful, [F/n]. Stop trying to pick faults in your appearance." Ace sighs under his breath, the boy leaning up against the bedroom wall. It's as if he's reading your mind, not that he needs to be a mind reader to notice the displeasure on your face. 

The freckled male making his way over to you and wrapping his warm and muscular arms around your waist, pulling you up against his chest. A cheerful smile gracing his lips as usual. "Everyone's here~ And they're excited to meet my beautiful girlfriend~" 

"Please don't tell me you've got them all believing I'm beautiful, they'll be disappointed when they see otherw--" Your sentence being interrupted when Ace presses his lips to yours, capturing them in a sweet kiss. His hands resting on your hips as he gently deepens it a little, your worries all a sudden melting away at the sensation. 

"You are beautiful~" The male murmurs against your mouth before you even have a chance to find your breath. And when you finally do, the tease just silences you by kissing you once again.

"Oh, man." Another voice interrupts, completely ruining the moment. You and Ace looking to the doorway where Thatch now stood with a slightly taunting expression. His arms folded over his chest, eyebrow raised and smirk already screaming smug comments. But the brunette surprises you this time around. "They're all ready for ya down there!"

Ready for what? This isn't a wedding! And what's with Thatch's mood? It's almost terrifying when he's not being a mocking bastard!

"Yeah we'll be down in a sec~" Ace chimes, his hands shifting from your hips to your thighs instead, the action only causing Thatch to shake his head in disapproval as a playful chuckle leaves his lips.

"No quickie takes a second, Ace. Get your asses downstairs!" The brunette snorts before he makes his way back to the staircase, your face about as red as a ruby. Honestly, you should be used to this by now but sometimes, Thatch and Marco's jokes still manage to have you looking like Elmo.

One of Ace's hands shifting to your wrist and giving you a gentle tug to encourage you to follow him as he trails Thatch down to the party. However, when you do, you notice something odd. Everyone stops what they're doing to look toward you and Ace.

Anxiety beginning to set in your stomach at the scene as your eyes scan the guests, the brothers and pops. Not one person was looking elsewhere! The brothers all watched with grins on their faces, Koala excitedly bouncing up and down next to Sabo. The guests looking on with wide smiles, except for Trafalgar Law, his expression seemed more curious than anything else. And then pops behind everyone, the large man stood with his arms folded and a big, proud smile on his face. Even Chopper was watching on silently and he's a dog!

Out of instinct, your eyes shift toward Ace. You're just about ready to tell him how nervous this is making you until the dark-haired male gets down on one knee, pulling a small box from his pocket. The action only scrambling your brain as just a simple croak manages to leave your lips.

Wait, wait... 

All of a sudden, it all makes sense now. Why they're all staring, why this party was such a big deal and why Koala insisted that you wear a pretty dress. "[F/n], I believe I've loved you since the day I helped you win a Mario mushroom plushie from the Arcade."

You could hear a few people murmur a 'aww' and a few giggles from Luffy and Koala, the two still smiling brightly as they watch on. It's a rare sight for them to see Ace so nervous, they clearly plan to relish in it.

A little like you did when you first saw it, you've seen him flustered many times since then though. "And I'll sure as hell love you for the rest of my life as well. So with that, I just wanna ask; Will you marry me?" 

"Ye--" A very high-pitched fangirlish squeak from Koala interrupts your answer, the girl instantly blushing when you, Ace and everybody else in the room looks at her with puzzled expressions. 

"Sorry, sorry! They're just so cute!" She blurts, her hands coming up to her face and covering her mouth as she slides behind Sabo to hide, the attention turning back to you as you nod your head eagerly. Surely the smile on your face was bright enough to blind somebody.

"Yes, I'll marry you~!" You giggle, Ace's face lighting up at the answer as he slips the ring onto your finger. Your eyes widening when the ring actually fits perfectly, your thoughts trailing back to the week before Christmas day.

For Christmas, he had gotten you a casual ring, claiming he wanted to buy you some jewelry for the holiday and that it was nothing special. So, you got your ring finger on your right hand measured when he was with you. And obviously, the boy took in your measurements so that he could purchase you an engagement ring without you even suspecting a thing.

Such a sneaky little cutie!

"Kiss her already yoi!" Marco blurts, causing the guests to chuckle. The freckled boy snickering as he rises to his feet, eagerly pulling you flush against him as he catches your lips once again in a kiss, this one being far more passionate than the last though.

"A toast to my boy~!" Newgate roars merrily, the sound of glasses clanking together reaching your ears. Of course, you're too busy enjoying Ace's embrace and his lush lips to watch or participate in the toast. 

Marrying into this family is gonna be one hell of a wacky ride. But hey, you get to marry Portgas D. Ace. This man is just walking perfection in your eyes and you sure as hell wouldn't have it any other way.

"Oh shit, it's midnight yoi!"

"Gurarara~ So it is! A toast to the new year~!"

Looks like I'm entering this year engaged~
