You find it difficult to control the slight sneer in your face as you stare at the girl across the table from you. Hell, you adore Koala, she's your best friend. But that doesn't excuse the fact that she has dragged you out of bed at 7 in the morning, on a damn Sunday just to have coffee with her at the café!

"You should drink up, it'll get cold~" The girl hums cheerfully, her eyes closing as a wide smile washes over her features. The sight itself causing you to grimace.

How could anyone be so happy this early in the morning?! It's just plain disturbing!

Although, her smile itself looks pretty forced. "How are you and Sabo doing?" Your tired voice making you sound as monotone as a professor in a high school. Not that it's your intention, of course. You're eager for them to work out their problems, the two have always been your favorite couple.

"I believe it's time to make a choice," She sighs as she brings her coffee to her lips, your eyes widening slightly as you watch her drink. You had to fight back the urge to rush her, your fingers nervously picking at your nails. "We can't keep arguing like this, I have to decide what's more important to me."

HURRY UP AND SPIT IT OUT, KOALA! WHAT ARE YOU CHOOSING HERE?!

"You see, my manager keeps having me work too many hours and Sabo doesn't like the wedge it's building in between us." She clarifies, setting down her teacup with a conflicted frown etched into her usually-cheerful features. "I've told them it's putting a strain on my relationship, we barely see each other anymore...but they just told me that I should expect that when working in retail. But that's the thing, I know a lot of people who work in retail, they don't get all those hours, you know? But the pay is better where I am..."

"Well, you just gotta ask yourself this." You make sure to lean forward a little, lowering the tone in your voice since Zoro and Robin are sat on a table about two places up from you two and you don't want to risk them hearing. "What's more important to you? Money or Sabo?"

Your question has Koala looking down at the table, her eyebrows knitting together as she thinks about it. "Well, Sabo, of course. But without money, how will I treat him?" She murmurs under her breath, her gaze casting back up to your face.

"There's other jobs, you know?" With a warm smile on your face, you reach out for Koala's hand in attempts to comfort her, she's been your best friend for years now and you'll always have her back. "I'm sure Sabo would rather have you earning less money than staying at a place where you're not respected by your bosses."

A small sigh of relief leaving Koala's lips as she clamps onto your hand tightly, an excited giggle following in suit. "You're right! I hadn't thought about that!" The girl chimes, her wide grin finally gracing her lips once again. "I should call him now! Uh...he might be in bed though."

That didn't stop you from calling me a number of times!

"Eh, wake him up," You grumble miserably, deciding that Sabo will be the one who suffers your lack-of-sleep wrath. "He wanted more time with you, right? This is how he gets it." Your eyes following Zoro and Robin as the pair stand from their table, giving you a discreet wave as they exit the café.

I am such a cranky asshole this early in the morning. Sorry, Sabo.

"Hey, Sabo~?" Koala chimes down the phone, you could vaguely hear her boyfriend through the speaker. By the sounds of it, he's just woken up also. His voice sounds similar to a chainsaw. Bringing your coffee to your lips, you begin guzzling it down, gallon at a time, you need it if you wish to stay awake for the entire day. "Good news! [F/n] has convinced me to quit my job~!"
