Charles Xavier [X-Men]*

You knew something was wrong the instant your vision became sharp. You had poor vision all your life, contacts not even being an option for how bad your vision was. As you got older, you decided you felt more at home in the water. All your life your parents had joked you were like a fish, you just never understood how much.

Now, whenever you physically touch water, your vision becomes sharper than a normal human. You could move faster, breathe better. It wasn't truly right. You had gone to the doctor, but they had nothing to say. You had noticed that when you were injured your injuries healed faster, especially when you were touched by water.

No one had the answers, so you had to hide what was really happening from many. If doctors or scientists knew, you would be experimented on to no end. That was until you met Charles Xavier. He understood what you were going through, he had a mutation as well.

That was a year ago, now, you and Charles had been dating for a little while. He had a crush on you despite your weird aspiration to water. When he asked you on a date, you couldn't believe what had just happened. It was surreal to you for anyone to have any interest in dating you.

"Y/N? Ready to go?" You heard Charles shout from outside your apartment door. All mutants lived in a secure facility where no one could capture them, but they could live normal lives.

"Just a minute!" You shout, washing your hands to get the natural high feeling water gave you. It gave you confidence and security with yourself, making you feel much better. Quickly, you put your earrings in and a necklace around your neck. Slipping on your shoes and grabbing your purse, you opened the door.

"If I may say so madam, you are looking rather more incredible." Charles flirted, taking your hand and giving it a quick kiss. You blushed, smiling at him. It was a thing you two always did, you acted like fancy rich adults.

"Why thank you kind sir, you seem rather handsome as usual." You flirt back, adjusting his shirt and jacket colors. He leaned forward and gave your cheek a quick kiss, bowing his head slightly after he finished.

"Shall we?" He asked, holding his arm out. You slid your arm with his, the two of you linking arms and walking. This date was going to be a good one.

After lots of laughing and talking to each other in overly proper accents, Charles was obligated to bring you home. "We are here Y/N, but before you go, just know there is a surprise in your apartment."

You glanced at him, a confused look on your face. You didn't know what the surprise could even be since no one had been in your apartment since you had left. "I am intrigued yet nervous." You inform, getting out your key.

Slowly, you opened the door and turned on the lights. "SURPRISE!" A group of voices chorused, all familiar voices. Mystique and Hank stood by a cake on a table that they had brought in, Alex and Peter jazz hands on the side. It was out of character for everyone, but you couldn't believe it.

"What- why?" You stutter, smiling as Peter raced over in a split second and placed a crown on your head.

"Come on, you didn't think we all forgot your birthday, did you?" Charles asked, handing you a glass of water. You smiled, taking a sip. Peter shrugged in the corner, goggles tussling his silver colored hair.

"Technically I forgot because honestly I'm not super close to you and I don't remember much and-" Peter began to ramble before Mystique cut him off.

"What he means to say is happy birthday!" She shouts, proudly showing you the cake in front of her. "Hank and I made it, Alex decorated it. I didn't expect him to be so good at decoration, but hey, it works."

"It works." You agree, still astounded that they had decided to do this for you.

"I love you, Y/N." Charles whispered to you, kissing your cheek and quickly hugging you.

"I love you too, Charles."
