The away mission was supposed to be easy. Nothing was supposed to go wrong, but of course, things did. Poisonous Flowers, thorns, and just about everything. You and Spock were alone on this mission. This planet was surprisingly cold for one with flowers.
You and Spock were walking towards a cave. Wind was picking up and a storm was coming. You started to shiver.
"Y/N, are you cold? You seem to be shivering and your teeth are hitting together." Spock said. He looked at you in what you thought would be Vulcan concern.
"I'll be okay, I'm just very cold. It just keeps getting colder!" You replied. Spock walked over to you and put his arm around you. You snuggled close to him and tried to warm up. It wasn't working that well. You needed shelter.
"Y/N, we are almost to the cave. We should gather many sticks and small logs of wood for a fire." Spock said. You broke apart and gathered lots of wood. He got the logs and you got the sticks.
The cave was medium size. You and Spock made a pile using the wood. His hand was bleeding, but you thought nothing of it.
"I'm going to get more wood so we have enough for the night, want to come?" You asked. He nodded and walked out with you.
After 20 minutes of gathering wood, Spock started a fire. He shot the wood with a phaser and it started on fire. You both snuggled by the fire. He was a lot warmer that normal.
"Hey, Spock, are you alright? You seem warm. Like you have a fever. " You ask him.
"I do not feel quite right. My head hurts, my stomach is sore, and my hand is throbbing. I...I don't think this is correct." Spock answered. You remembered the blood on his hand and the poisoned thorns.
"Spock, I think you were pricked by one of the poison thorns. Can you how me you hand?" You say. He gives you his hand. Where green blood should be, it's purple. No. This wasn't right.
Spock fell asleep by the fire. That surprised you very much. Vulcans don't sleep as much as humans. You were snuggled against him. His arm was wrapped around you waist. His skin was very hot and you could see purple veins under his skin. This worried you even more.
"Kirk to Y/L/N, come in Y/L/N." you heard your communicator beeped. You leaped up and grabbed the communicator.
"Captain! Captain! Can you beam us up? Spock is sick and I don't know how long he's got." You say. Kirk answered and said they were locking into your position. A familiar white light surrounded you as Spock.
The ships transport room filled your vision. Doctor McCoy was ready to get Spock to sickbay. You had went to the sickbay to sit with Spock, waiting for him to wake up.
