Sweet As Candy (Drift x Neutral Reader)

I walked out into the sweet smelling air and the beautiful scenery. I usually came out into the flower gardens when I wanted some piece and quiet and today was definitely one of those days.

I walked into the middle of the garden and noticed drift in the corner so I walked over carefully.

"Drift?" I asked gently in just above a whisper. He opened his optics and looked up to me "oh (Y/N)... Its lovey to see you" he smiled that adorable smile. His smile was contagious and I caught it, smiling back.

He gave a soft chuckle "Busy day?" I nodded my helm in an exhausted way before falling into my aft next to the mech, making a small thud. He laughed and nudged me a little "It'll get better. Here let me start you off!"

He turned around for a split second before turning hack with a gorgeous almost sparkling yellow rose in his servos. He gently tucked it behind my audio receptor and smiled "beautiful"

I smiled brightly at that and looked to the side to see it "two of the most amazing things in the world right in front of me"

I blushed at that and looked to him with a small stutter, he just chuckled and took my servos in his before kissing my nose "and the rose isn't one of them"

I blushed about the shad of the crimson roses behind me and blinked before turning my helm away to hide my blush, he chuckled. Letting go of one of my servos he brought it up to me cheek and turned my gaze back to his "Your optics make my spark jump, you smile makes my processor fuzz and you laugh makes my spirit sore. I don't know what I would do without that in my life."

He leant froward and slowly kissed my dermas. I was speechless for the whole endeavour. He pulled back and stroked over my cheek "The middle of the storm is where its calmest and I believe the middle is us. I am calmest when with you and I am happiest when with you so I would like to ask you, join me in the storm and maybe help me stop it."

I chocked on words as I looked deep into the mech optics. They were so full of hope and kindness and... Love. I admit I have loved drift for longer then he will ever know but its just the task of getting the words out.

He awaited my answer before his smile fell just a little "I understand. I am sorry for troubling you in your cool down time... I will leave you be." He went to stand but I grabbed his wrist. He looked back to me.

I pulled him straight onto his knees and into a tight hug "don't you dare go anywhere, not without me"

He blinked a little before hugging me tightly in return. He sat on his aft and pulled me into his lap. "Never" was all that was said as we both embraced.

We both sat there in silence letting each others worries and troubles be edged away by the comfort of the other. The warmth almost lulling me into recharge but I willed myself to stay online just to be with him a little longer.
