A/N: Okay so I don't know if you guys caught it, but in chapter one I failed to mention the magazine that Sierra works for, but it's in the description. (insert embarrassed face here) After I finish this story, I'm going to go back through and edit it in. Anyhow, here is chapter two, enjoy! :)

One Week Later

Same morning, same routine. Except now, Paul is in my life. I can't help but smile when I think about him. And that's probably making me look weird right now, considering I'm walking through the office smiling, and no one ever smiles here. Especially since Katie was hired. As if Amanda and Dawn weren't enough to deal with around here. Katie just makes work even worse for everyone. All she does is go around the room insulting everyone, myself included. I really wish I could lock my door, but I'm not allowed to unless I'm consulting with someone. Like when I had the interview with Paul. Again, the smile comes back to my face.

Walking up to my office door, I look across the great big room and watch as Dawn, my boss, yells at Steven. That poor guy. I find the key on my keychain, stick it into the lock and unlock my door. The room is completely dark, yet the smell of roses drifts around me. I flip the switch and there, sitting on my desk, is a vase filled with a dozen roses. There's a card but I don't need to read it to know who the roses are from. However, curiosity fills me and I open the card anyway.

Sierra, getting to know you this week has been great, and I want to get to know you more. How about going out on a date with me tonight, if you are free? Let me know. -Paul

Holy cow. A date with Paul? Heck yes! I grab my phone off my desk and send him a quick text.

Thank you so much for the flowers. I love them. And yes, I'm free tonight. I would love to go on a date with you.

My phone starts to feel as if it weighs 15 tons just waiting for a reply from him. Two minutes later, he replies, and a full blown grin breaks out on my face as I read:

Glad to hear you like the flowers. And good, but we can't go to Starbucks. We don't want that girl to spit in our food, do we?

I start to type a reply when Amanda, the boss's "main girl" as I call her, walks into my office. "What are you smiling about?" she snarls. I try to ignore her, but she starts her normal torment, "Who would like you enough to send you flowers?"

I roll my eyes and glare at her. "It's really none of your business, you know." I focus my attention back on my phone, when she grabs the card that came with my flowers off of my desk. "Hey!" I exclaim, reaching for the card. But it's too late. She opens it up and reads.

"You got flowers from Paul Walker?" She stares at me in disbelief.

"Yeah, you didn't, so back off." I snatch the card away from her with no protest.

She narrows her eyes at me. "I should be the one getting these flowers from him. Everybody knows I'm a better writer than you. I should've gotten that interview." She crosses her arms and smirks at me.

I can't hold back my laugh. She's ridiculous. "Is that what you really think? Amanda, if you are supposedly a "better writer" than me," I air quote, "then why am I the one that has the main journalist office? You would've freaked him out anyways."

She rolls her eyes. "Whatever. I don't have time for this." She storms off and I sigh, and sit down in my chair. I know for a fact she's going to go tell Dawn, who is going to go off on me. Looks like today is bitchmania. I turn my computer on, dreading the conversation that's inevitably going to go down. I look down at my phone and finally reply to Paul.

I guess we shouldn't. But that's a shame we can't go to Starbucks, you seemed to really enjoy that cookie.

I smile and remember how he basically ate the cookie in one bite. The start up screen pops up on my computer, and I sign in. About that time, Paul replies.
