Chapter 9

As they flew through the inside of the house, Bubble Berry said "Follow me, Spike! I know where to go! It's gonna be pretty, this dress." He giggled, and said "Fluttershy will be surprised!" "Yeah! Very surprised!" Spike said. They arrived at a tiny hole, and they opened it to see Sonata Dusk and Aria Blaze giving Fluttershy their dresses to work on in Sonata Dusk's bedroom. "And this, too, Fluttershy, my slippers. Now, don't forget..." Sonata Dusk said. "Take my dress!" Aria Blaze said giving Fluttershy a dress. "Here, mend the buttonholes." Sonata Dusk said. "Press my skirt, and mind the ruffle!" Aria Blaze said. "Fluttershy?" Adagio Dazzle asked as she entered the bedroom. "Yes?" Fluttershy asked. "When you're through, and before you begin your regular chores, I have a few little things." Adagio Dazzle said. "Very well." Fluttershy said as she left the bedroom. "Mother, I don't see why everypony else seems to have such nice things to wear, and I always end up in these old rags!" Sonata Dusk said as she threw her pink sash down on the floor in anger. "This sash! I wouldn't be seen dead in it!" "You should talk!" Aria Blaze said as she threw her green bead necklace down on the floor, and kicked it away in anger. "These beads! I am sick of looking at them! Trash!" "Oh, I hate this!" Sonata Dusk said as she and Aria Blaze started complaining to their mother, and they walked out of bedroom.

Bubble Berry and Spike flew out of the hole, and Bubble Berry said "Come on, and be careful." "Ok." Spike said. "I'll be careful." They flew underneath a stool where Opalescence slept on, and they went up to Sonata Dusk's pink sash. "We can use that, Spike." Bubble Berry said. "Yeah!" Spike said. "It's so pretty!" Bubble Berry then shushed him, and whispered out "Look out! Opal!" They covered themselves with with sash, and flew with it. Opalescence woke up to see the sash running. When the sash reached the hole, Opalescence realized that Bubble Berry and Spike were taking the sash. The breezies took the sash into the hole before Opalescence could take it. She then crouched down near the hole ready to pounce on the breezies. She then heard a creaking noise, and she turned to see a circle-shaped hole opening. Bubble Berry pointed at the green bead necklace, and Spike said "Look! The beads!" Bubble Berry shushed him, and Opalescence sat on the beads to keep the breezies from getting it. Bubble Berry then had an idea, and whispered it to Spike. Thinking that Bubble Berry was going for the beads, Opalescence prepared to attack, but Bubble Berry flew past her, and went up to a purple shirt with black buttons on it. Bubble Berry snapped the buttons of the shirt as Opalescence got off the beads to attack the breezie. She stopped when she saw Spike going for the beads, so she quickly sat on them.

Spike quickly flew back to the hole, and Opalescence looked at Bubble Berry who was getting the buttons. Opalescence had an idea, and she scooted the beads away from Spike as she got ready to attack Bubble Berry. Before Opalescence could attack him, Bubble Berry flipped a button on her nose with another button. Opalescence meowed in anger, and jumped at Bubble Berry. As Opalescence chased Bubble Berry in a pile of clothes, Spike flew out of the hole, and got the beads. Opalescence looked around in the pile of clothes, unaware of Bubble Berry on her head. Spike attempted to fly away with the beads, but he crashed into a wall, breaking the necklace. Bubble Berry closed Opalescence's eyes, and jumped into the pile of clothes. As Opalescence chased the breezie, Spike gathered the beads. Bubble Berry flew out of the white shirt, and Opalescence got stuck in it. She crawled after them as Bubble Berry helped Spike gather the beads. They quickly got in the hole, and closed it as Opalescence jumped at them, and crashed into the wall. The white cat was left dizzy, and trapped in a white shirt.
