"Babe you coming to Cali party?" I asked. "Nah. But ima send a gift. I have something else to do." He said. "And what's that?" I asked. "Chill Sofia- I mean Deja." He covered his mouth. "Who the fuck is Sofia?!" I bombed on him. "Some girl at my job but it was a honest mistake." He said not trying to give me no eye contact. "I get it now. That's why you been all excited going to work, dressing extra, spraying on cologne and this the same bitch that be having you weak right?" I asked. "Yeah but its nothing like that. Don't stress yourself over this because that is not what it is." He said. I just felt like he was lying. "Whatever Jason. I know what's up I don't have to be Einstein to know that I'm getting cheated on." I zipped my sweater to my sweat suit up. "Its not even like that babe. You can come--" I cut him off. "We are fucking adults not kids! Get the fuck outta here! I don't want to come to your job and look stupid!" I said getting madder and madder. "Babe it won't be like that." I rolled my eyes and finished getting ready. "Want me to pick you after the party?" He asked coming up to me scratching his head. "I'll let you know when I'm on my way back." I rolled my eyes. "Okay. Ima go get something to eat, if I'm not back by time you leave than I love you and give me a kiss." He said. "Jason move." I rolled my eyes. "You really mad? Deja I told you that childish shit is whack." He walked out the house. I'm not dumb. All the little attitudes lately and then him calling me the bitch who he talks about everyday? Something's up. I didn't feel like going no more but I cant miss that. I dragged myself off the bed and called Monae. "Hello?" She answered excited. "Was I missed or something?" I asked. "Yes. We haven't spoke in a whole twenty three hours." She said and I start laughing. "You annoying. I miss you though you coming to Cali party right?" I asked. "Of Course but Kevin staying here." She said. "As he should. I still don't want to be his friend. And only if he knew probably what he caused." I shook my head. "What happened?" She asked with concern filling her voice. "Jason cheating on me and I know it." I said in little more than a whisper. "You lyinggggggg! I will bust that nigga in his head." She said. "I know he is but I want to catch him in the act." I said. "Bastard but this nigga all in my mouth so me and Lonnie gonna meet you there." She said. I laughed. "Okay. Love y'all see ya soon." And we hung up.

Me and Monae was sitting outside the party talking about Jason and I was almost in tears because I was humiliated telling the story. "Don't feel bad Deja, people go through worst." She said. "I know and I thank God everyday for it but you know." I shrugged. "What's the bitch name again?" I asked. "Sofia." I rolled my eyes. "I wanna whoop her ass." Monae said and we start laughing. "You really a loose cannon. Lets go back inside." I said. We went back in the party and the girls was dancing. I was recording them. "I love them." I said smiling. Then I went to Lizzy and got a shot of Hennessy. "Ouch that burnt my chest." I rubbed it. "Let me rubbed it for you." Durk said. He was already damn near drunk. "Stop playing." I laughed getting another cup of liquor. "You and ya nigga think ya fly with that bape shit?" Rex asked. "Bape? Fly to who?" I sucked my teeth and rolled my eyes. "Stop it mama you is not fly." iinky said. "I'm not stuffing with y'all Polo Ralph Lauren boys. Come to a party with a bape sweat suit on to get it messy than come holla at me. Other than that hush." I rolled my eyes. "I love this new attitude." Dthang came up to me and hugged me. "I gotta put you on about something brother." I said. "Let me know if I have to fuck somebody up now." He said. "Let's hope not." I smiled. "Aight so call me or you wanna tell me now?" I asked. "Later." I said sipping the liquor. "Aight. And Durk why are you drunk already that wasn't ya plan." Dthang laughed. "I'm not drunk." He said as he stumbled a little. "You a asshole and that's not how you gonna get it done." Dthang said before walking away. "Why Kevin not here?" Lizzy asked. "I don't know." I shrugged. "That's why I never liked his ugly ass." She rolled her eyes and I laughed. I walked away and Lonnie ran up to me because the clown was out. I picked her up. "Don't be scared Lonnie." I said laughing a little. "The man is scary." She held me tight. "Don't be scared." I rubbed her back repeatedly. Sipping my liquor here come Durk and his friends again. "Deja can I get a hug?" Durk asked. "I gave you a hug when I arrived Durk." I said putting Lonnie down so she can dance. "Can I talk to you real quick in privacy?" He asked. "That's going to make you and your little friends leave me alone?" I grilled them. "No that's never gonna make me leave you alone." He smiled. "So leave me alone." I walked away from him and start partying with the rest of the people. I really didn't feel like being bothered and a drunk Durk? Not so good so I'll rather do what I do. Ima sip on my liquor and get lit and have a ball.

The party was coming to a end and I was having a great time. I was not drunk but I was feeling nice. I didn't want to call Jason. He called me twice but I kept the conversation short. The party got better when Durk went to sleep and slept that liquor off. Him and his little friends wasn't in my face. "Deja go to my room and get me a lighter." Lizzy said. "Nope." I smiled. "Pleaseeeee?" She begged. I nodded and went to her room. Durk was getting up. "Pass me that lighter please?" I asked. He dug in his pocket and passed it to me. "Thank you." I went to leave but he held my hand. "Durk please don't start." I said. "Nah I'm not I really want to talk to you." He held my waist. I removed his hands. He chuckled. "Let me go take this lighter down stairs." I said. "Come back." He said. I nodded and went out the room. "Here Lizzy." I passed it to her. "Thank you." She smiled. "No problem." I said. "We singing happy birthday in a few." She said. "Don't start without me." I said as I pulled Monae to the side and she nodded. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Durk wanna have a conversation with me but I'm scared." I said. "Just go." She pushed me to the door and I went back in the room and sat down. "What happened now Durk?" I asked. "You look pretty today, but that's regular." He compliment me. "Thank you." I smiled. "Why you act like you hate me Deja?" He asked. "I act like I hate you?" I asked him. "Yeah like we can never have a conversation you always want to run away. I call you all you do is rush to get off the phone. Wussup?" He asked. "I don't know." I lied. "Be real with me. If you never want me to talk to you again let me know. I don't want you to feel like I'm harassing you." He said. "Its not that Durk but you know how I feel about looking stupid." I said playing with my fingers. "How are you looking stupid being my friend?" He asked. "Its hard to explain. I really don't know what it is or what you do but its something about you." I said my eyes getting filled with tears ready to drop. "What you mean? You wanna get back with me or something?" He asked a little too excited. "I don't know. Everything just so confusing." I said and a tear fell. I was stressing bad. I don't know if its a faze or not but its something about him. "Don't feel bad because I feel the same way about you. Seeing you that day was really a good day for me. I think about you at certain times like when I'm laying with Alyssa and she don't do the things you used too. She don't like for me to be goofy, she wants me serious 24/7 and I don't like that shit. We use to play fight, go out, argue and make right back up and I felt like that's what I need. No funny shit that's why me and Nikki didn't work, I know me and Alyssa not gonna work and no one else. I need what my heart been yearning for and that's you Deja." He moved closer to me. "Durk but you had a whole new baby on me. How can I ever take you back?" I said wiping my now falling tears. "You right." He said. "Every time I think about you in anyway all I hear is you stupid, you dumb, HE HAS ANOTHER KID." I start crying some more. "Stop crying Deja we don't have to go out. I just want to be ya friend." He hugged me. "You know I can't just be your friend." I cried on his chest. "I can't be your friend either I'm not even going to lie. Sometimes I be hoping that we just get right back together without the complications." He hugged me. "Why would you start fucking with her again? You always loved her. And things like that is the reason we won't never be able to be together." I sipped some of my liquor. "You didn't discriminate before." He looked scared or concerned. "Angelo was pinned on both of us and no funny shit I was already on you." I sniffled. "Awww." He hugged me. "You're annoying." I wiped my face. "Mommy said its time to sing happy birthday." Cali said. We went to the living room. "What's wrong?" Monae asked and I shook my head. "I'm good." I said. "I was trying to make her better." Durk bit his lip to me. "Shut up. And stop being nasty." I said and he hugged me. "Missed you ode." He put my arm on my shoulders across the back of my neck and I held his hand. "I missed ya ugly ass too." I said in a lower tone. We start singing happy birthday to Cali. Durk never let my shoulder, it felt weird but good at the same time. Is this where I belong? That question going to bother me a lot. We let the kids get cake and then us. "I want a big piece." Durk said. "Shut up. And let Deja get cake first." Lizzy said. "Deja got enough cake." He looked at me and then back at my butt. "Shut up." I got a piece of cake and went and sat down and he followed me. "Damnnnn Durk." Rex said. "Tsss he back at it again on my dick." Durk said scooping some cake in his mouth. I shook my head and Jason called me.
"Hello?" I answered annoyed. "What you doing?" He asked. "Chillen, what happened?" I rolled my eyes. "You still mad over today? Its nothing with that girl babe. I promise. Don't do this to me." He said whining. "We gonna talk when I get home because I'm busy." I rolled my eyes as if he could see me. "Aight Deja, I love you." He said. "Heard the liar." And I hung up the phone. "Why are you eating off my spoon? I don't know where ya mouth been." I pushed Durk leg. "I can tell you where I'm trying to put it." He whispered and I start laughing. "Ya dirty ass." I said. We sat there talking about nothing. He was being nasty most of the time. It was a good time, I guess.
