A/N: This chapter makes a few contradictions with the actual game.
"Mia Kris!" I woke up to the sound of a bellowing voice.
"What?" I grumbled, forcefully pulling my head upwards. Blinking, I realise where I am. In Mr. Hattrick's class, of all places, with the very pig of a man standing in front of me. His snout flaming.
"If you're going to be asleep in my class, I suggest you don't come at all."
"Glad to." I yawned.
"Excuse me?"
"Sorry, I said I'll be glad to ditch your class." A few students gasp.
"That's it, I am tired of your blatant disrespect," I rolled my eyes, "Go to the Principal's office now!"
"Okay." I shrugged, getting up and swung my bag on my shoulders. When I got to the Principal's office, well the 'waiting room', I found a familiar face. "We meet again, Mia Kris." Gary said as I sat down on the chair I've gotten so accustomed to the last few days. I couldn't help but notice how nefarious he sounded.
"Ah, the school's sociopath, Gary Smith." I yawned again.
"Excuse me?" He frowned.
"That's what they call you, isn't it?"
"Oh." He smirked. "An unfair but rather fitting title, don't you think?"
"Whatever you say." I leaned back on my chair, trying to get comfortable but failing.
"So why are you always here?" I heard him ask as I closed my eyes.
"Let's just say that me and this dump of a school don't exactly get along."
"Cut it out with that attitude and you just might."
"No thanks, too tiring." I said, standing up.
"Where are you going now?" He asked.
"Realised that I don't really want to be here." I simply said and walked out.I spent the rest of my day in my room, wasting time by staring pointless at the ceiling and taking naps every so often. I don't why but I've been so tired today, maybe all my visits to the principal's office are finally taking their toll on me. More reason to stop bothering going there anymore, not like the oblivious headmaster can do anything to make me go, except if he is finally going to expel me. I heard the door to the room to open, expecting to find Mandy I looked up only to find Beatrice. "Oh hey," I lazily said, not really caring why she's her.
"Aren't you going to ask why I'm here?" She asked, confused.
"Nope." I replied.
"But why?"
"Because, Beatrice, I don't really care at this point. Just do whatever you want to do and leave before Mandy sees you, I really don't need that headache."
"Aren't you and Mandy friends?" She continued with her persistent questions, evidently still confused.
"Maybe, but that doesn't mean I'll stop you from doing what you're here for."
"But won't she be angry at you?"
"Why? It's her fault for bullying you, isn't it? Besides other than you're annoying questions and relentless pestering, I don't really have a problem with you. So please just shut up and do what you're about to do and leave me alone." I felt myself return to the old me as I lifted the covers above my head and proceeded to ignore Beatrice. She left after a few minutes, judging from the noise she caused, she either stole something or ransacked Mandy's side of the room."That bitch!" I heard Mandy shriek as she looked through the colossal mess that was her room.
"Be quiet." I groaned, sensing a painful headache coming. Maybe I should've just kicked Beatrice out and saved myself from this.
"Mia, she stole my diary!"
"You actually have a diary?" I asked, massaging my head to numb the pain.
"That's not the point! The bitch has my diary!"
"As you've already pointed out." I reminded her.
"Mia, this isn't a joke!" She shrieked. "Beatrice had my diary!!"
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry." I apologised, covering my ears. "But don't you kinda deserve it after relentlessly ridiculing her and stealing her chemistry notes, and English, and Math, and-"
"Again not the point." Mandy said, calmer now. "I need to get my diary before she does anything with it, and you're going to help me."
"But why?" I whined. "She didn't steal mine...because I'm not stupid enough to write my most secret thoughts and feelings in a book that can be read by anyone and everyone."
"Because, Mia, I helped you out when you couldn't make make it to the cheerleading tryouts."
"But-"
"And when Mr. Burton harassed you."
"Yeah, that was a REAL doozy, wasn't it?"
"Mia!"
"Fine, fine, I'll help you."
"So... how do we get my diary back?" She asked, looking at me hopefully.
"How should I know?" I huffed.
"Well, I'm guessing you've dealt with something like this before."
"But why would I-" I think about it for a moment. "Never mind."
"So what should we do?"
"First we need to make sure she hasn't already done anything to it."
"Oh, let's check the school website."
"Why?" I ask.
"Because, my dear friend, any gossip about me would spread like wildfire." I roll my eyes at her arrogance.
"You do know that's not a good thing right now, right?" I said, pulling out the school website on my laptop. "Nothing off of yet. Just a bunch of boring stuff about Earnest's school president campaign. Isn't he the leader of nerds?" I asked, looking back at Mandy.
"Does that really matter right now?" She asked, irritated.
"Guess not." I shrugged, shutting off my laptop and putting it aside.
"So what now?" I sat I thoughtful silence for a few minutes.
"I've got it!" I clasped my hands together.
"Really?" Mandy perks up.
"I'll have pizza for dinner." I said, happy I've finally figured out the answer.
"Mia." Mandy looked at me flatly. "My diary."
"Oh that. Just steal her's."
"Excuse me?"
"If you steal Beatrice's diary then she won't do anything to yours." I clarified.
"But how do you she has one?"
"If you have one, I'm guessing she has one too and I've seen write in a book from time to time."
"Okay, then let's go to her dorm room and steal it right now."
"Won't work."
"Why not?"
"I doubt she's as careless as you, she probably carries it around everywhere she goes or keeps it in her locker."
"Hey! I am not careless!"
"Yeah because under the mattress is such a great hiding place."
"Okay, smartass, then how do we get her diary?"
"Simple, ask for it."
"Excuse me?"I sat in Mr. Hattrick's class, tuning out the droning lecture. I looked over at Beatrice and sure enough she was writing in a book, but she didn't seem to be taken notes. "Hey Beatrice," I spoke in an audible tone, disrupting the class. "What are you writing?" This obviously caught Mr. Hattrick's attention but instead of yelling at me for interrupting his class yet again he turned his attention to Beatrice, who looked uneasy with the attention she was receiving from the class.
"Yes, Miss Trudeau, what are you writing during class?" He asked.
"Me. Hattrick, I didn't mean-" She began.
"Hand it over." He bellowed.
"Yes sir." She whimper, handing the book over. I felt kinda sorry for her.
"And as for you, Miss Kris, detention for disrupting the class again!" Now why did he sound more angry at me than he did with Beatrice? Mandy better appreciate me getting detention for her and her study diary though. After my prolonged detention at the hands of my oh so forgiving teacher, I made my way to the staff room, where I'm guessing Mr. Hattrick is keeping the diary, sneaking past the prefects, because yes it's that late. When I got to the staff room, I pick locked the door, curtesy of my pot dealing step-brother, and quickly got in before any prefects spotted me. I found the diary in Mr. Hattrick's draw, and in a moment of weakness I took a peek at Beatrice's diary. I slammed it shut quick after. "Bad Beatrice." I said. "Very Bad." I ran out of the room and the building before any prefect could stop me.
"This is her diary?" Mandy looked at the book in utter disgust. God, she must really hate that girl.
"Yes, but piece of advice don't read it."
"Oh honey, I'm not going to read but send a copy out to the whole school." She said, throwing the book aside.
"Bad idea." I shook my head.
"Why? Don't tell me you actually feel sorry for her."
"That's not it. Beatrice still has your diary, remember? If you do that, she'll do the exact same to you."
"Oh yeah." How could she forget the fact? Especially after almost making me deaf last night? "So what should we do?"
"Tell her you have her diary." I said. "I swear you wouldn't know how to tie your shoes without me."
"Shut up." She threw a pillow at me, I stepped to side, dodging it, curious of how Beatrice will deal with her own secrets being at the hands of her enemy. Hopefully, a lot less loudly than Mandy.
