Random Headcanons: Darry

Media: Outsiders fans will get it...

• Darry snorts when he laughs. He tries to stop laughing to cover it up, which causes him to laugh even more. It's a never-ending cycle.

• Darry calls money by the person on it.
(Ex: "Hey Sodapop! Can I borrow a Washington?"
"You mean a 1 dollar bill?"
"Yeah. A Washington.")

• Darry can do an amazing British-Cockney accent. And he does do it. All. The. Time. For a long enough time that the rest of the gang will start banging their heads against the wall.

• Whenever Darry accidentally hurts himself, and it's not that bad, (like stubbing his toe, for example) he'll start laughing. The gang knows if he's really badly injured if he's not laughing.

• Darry only ever drinks water from a bottle. He never drinks it from the tap, because he thinks it tastes like 'pencil shavings'.

• Darry hates mirrors. He doesn't really care about how he looks, and when he was little, he was worried that he'd see something scary behind him if he looked in the mirror at night.

• Darry loves cacti. He thinks they look cool, and puts those mini potted cacti all around the house. (Ex: the kitchen, his room, the living room, the bathroom, Ponyboy and Sodapop's room until the take it out, etc.)

• Darry is always on time. He could be completely discombobulated, but he'll always somehow make it there exactly on time.

• Darry was obsessed with pirates when he was little. He used to pretend he was one all he time, and his parents and brothers would play along.

• Darry, ironically, hates dairy products. (Unless it's milk or butter that's been put in chocolate cake.)
