The next morning the moment I entered Kabir's room she threw questions on me regarding his discharge.
He kept on throwing questions to which I had no answer.
"Preet say something yaa."
"Kabir, this hospital only lets you out when you are properly treated or the only other option is voluntary discharge."
"Yaa, so I am ready."
"Uhh, the problem here is for voluntary discharge they need a family member to take the authority and in your case we haven't informed any. This hospital is really strict regarding this." I pointed out.
"What the absolute fuck. I don't care I need out."
"Not possible."
"I don't bloody care." He shouted.
"Okay fine then what do you want me to do? Call up Meera maa and Papa and tell them about this and endanger their health???
Or you want me to call Kavya and spoil all her wedding excitement? Tell me.""There has to be an option. Please understand Preet I need to get out of the hospital." He sighed.
"There's a way."
"What?"
"But for that you have to promise me that you won't get hyper and that you will continue your treatment and do as I say."
"ACCEPTED." He said instantly.
"Youhavetogetmarriedtome."I said in one go.
"Come again and slower this time." He commented.
"YOU HAVE TO GET MARRIED TO ME." I said again closing my eyes shut.
He opened and closed his mouth like a fish.
The moment he was about to say something I interjected,
"You promised you won't get hyper."For the next 10 minutes there was pin drop silence.
"No" he said finally breaking the silence and bringing me back from the trance I was in.
"What?" I questioned."No!" He repeated.
"Why?"
"We can't. I can't destroy your life."
" I am still confused." I said truthfully.
"You want to get married to a handicapped person."
I opened my mouth to say something but he motioned me to shut up.
"I know there aren't any chances of my hand to come again in motion, I know every morning you come up with a hope and then at night you sit in your cabin and search every possible way to treat me. Why would I spoil your life when you can easily get rid of me, especially now."
"Kabir, I did not know you think so highly of me!" I said with sarcasm in every word.
"It's not that." He said while I fixed his hand with the machine and went behind him I placed my hand beneath his and started with his exercise.
"Preet."
Ignored
"Preet!" He tried again
Ignored
"Preet, yaa"
"What?" I asked in a louder pitch.
