Laxus wrapped his arms around me and Juvia continued to pout. I'm also curious...why is there a curfew this year? Then I received a telepathic message from my brother.

Then the inn suddenly began to rise into the air. I ran to the balcony and looked out to see the other inns rising as well. They all stopped at once and a giant pumpkin was suddenly projected on the night sky.

"Hello and welcome to the preliminary round of the Grand Magic Games! This year we have so many guilds that entered that we will be eliminating all but 6 entrants! The preliminary round will be a maze to Domus Flau! The rules are simple! Race to Domus Flau without falling off...any type of magic is allowed! Your time starts...now!"

Jellal stood and quickly changed into his disguise. Gajeel and Juvia looked ready to go. Laxus and Mirajane joined the group at the beginning of the path that led to the giant maze. Laxus walked by and roughly patted my head.

"Lets go...I don't feel like falling behind the brat and Erza."
