"Your job?"
Laxus stared at me as I pulled back my arm.
"My guild was...founded as an ancient alliance that had one job. To protect dragon slayers."
"I don't understand..."
"You don't have to...the only thing you need to know is that it's my family's duty to protect dragon slayers."
"..."
Laxus stared at me with confusion in his eyes. I reached out and grabbed his hand.
"Lets go back to the others..."
I smiled brightly and Laxus nodded. I knew that he didn't understand, but I also knew that he would accept it because he trusts me. We headed back to the camp where everyone was celebrating and having fun. Bixlow casually put his arm around Laxus's shoulder and whispered in his ear.
"So, what were you two doing all alone?"
I watched as Laxus turned defensive while Bixlow playfully interrogated him. Fried immediately came to Laxus's aid and began scolding Bixlow about stupid stuff. Evergreen seemed to be acting weird cause she wouldn't stop staring at Elfman. I giggled to myself. I can't believe how carefree this guild is, no matter what, they always find the bright side of things.
Sister...we should go...father insists.
I heard my little brother speaking to me using telepathy. I acknowledged him and ran over to Laxus who was pulling Lisanna's face.
"Laxus...stop that. She doesn't need you pulling her face off."
I casually scolded him as I leaned on his back and wrapped my arms around his neck. I whispered into his ear and made sure no one else could hear me.
"I have to go...I have another job."
"Right, I'll see you later, (y/n)."
I kissed him lightly on the cheek and I saw Lisanna blush a little as she watched us. Then I stood and teleported back to my guild's ship. When I arrived I saw my twin brother lying in his bed. I quickly did the same and looked the window of the ship as we sailed away from Tenrou island. One of my younger brothers opened the door and handed me a glass of liquid.
"Drink, it'll help with the marks on your arm."
"Thanks..."
"You should rest."
I took the glass of liquid and drank it. I suddenly felt drowsy, maybe it was a side effect of the medicine. I looked out the window again, but this time I could barely see anything through my blurry vision. Then I saw a dark shadow appear above the ship and head straight for Tenrou island.
"Thats...a dragon!"
My brother shouted in fear as he looked out his own window. I watched helplessly as it flew toward the island. I continued to watch as the island got smaller and smaller and shrunk from my sight. Then a large beam of light appeared from the horizon and the sound of an explosion filled my ears.
"L-Laxus!"
