Peter POV

Every since I could remember, everything inside of me. Just wanted to fit in. Ooh ooh ooh.

I was never one for pretenders, everything I tried to be. Just wouldn't settle in. Ooh ooh ooh.

If I told you what I was, would you turn your back on me. And if I seemed dangerous would you be scared. I get the feeling just because everything I touch isn't dark enough. That this problem lies in meeeeee.

I'm only a man with a candle to guide me. I'm taking a stand to escape what's inside me. A monster, a monster, I turned into a monster. A monster, a monster, and it keeps getting stronger.

Can I clear my conscious if I'm different from the rest? Do I have to run and hide? Ooh ooh ooh.

I never said that I want this, this burden came to me. And its made its home inside.

I pushed pause on Pandora when I heard a knock on the door. I took my headphones out of my ears as the door slowly opened.

I sat up on my bed and looked at Aunt May. She looked at me and gave me a sympathetic smile. I slowly smiled back.

She walked up to me and sat on my bed. "Peter I just wanted to tell you that dinner was done if you care to join me." Aunt May informed me. I stood up. "Let's go." I told Aunt May. She smiled and stood up.

I walked out of my room and headed to the kitchen with Aunt May. I have been in my room most of the time since Gwen's death. I rarely even go out of my room to eat.

I was pulled from my thoughts when I felt a gentle shake on my shoulder.

"Peter are you ok?" I looked at Aunt May. I smiled at her in response. "Come on we should eat before the food gets cold." I told Aunt May.

She nodded and let go of my shoulders. I walked to the table and sat at my seat.

I stared at the food on my plate as Aunt May started to eat. I thought of the time I went to eat dinner at Gwen's house. I suddenly lost my appetite. I picked up my fork and started playing with my mash potatoes.

I heard Aunt May sigh. "I'm sorry. I'm not hungry so I'm just gonna go lay down." I told Aunt May. She gave me a sad smile and nodded.

I got up from my chair and walked up to my room. I entered my room and closed the door behind me. I walked to my bed and layed down.

I didn't even feel like changing my clothes. I slowly got up and turned the lights off.

I walked back to my bed and pulled the blankets over me.

"Goodnight Gwen." I said as a tear rolled down my cheek.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

***********In dream****************

I layed in the bed with Gwen as she had her head placed on top of my chest.

My fingers were wrapped around Gwen's hair and her scent of vanilla mixed with honey filled up my nose. I never wanted this moment to end.

"Peter?" Gwen said breaking the comfortable silence. "Hmm?" I said.

She sighed and rolled off my chest. She sat up and I did the same. She stood up and looked at me.

"I want you to continue being Spiderman." Gwen told me as she stared at me with her blue-green eyes.

I stared at her with utter shock. "What?" I asked. How could she ask this of me?

"You heard me, the people need you Peter." Gwen told me.

"They have the Avengers. They don't need me. If anyone needs anything, it's me. I need you Gwen. Can't you see, they don't need me. No one needs me." I complained to her as if I was a child.

She cupped my face in her hands and slammed her lips against mine. I kissed back passionately. I wrapped my hands around her waist and brought her close to me.

Her gentle lips left mine and she wiggled out of my grasp. "They may have the Avengers but they need you Peter. I need you. You need to move on though for both of our sakes. I love Peter Parker but you need to go out there and be Spiderman for all those people. Please do this for me." Gwen begged.

I felt a huge lump in my throat as a tear fell down my face.

Gwen smiled as a tear fell down hers too. She came up to me and wiped my tear away.

Her lips brushed against mine as she rested her forehead against mine.

I closed my eyes to stop any tears from escaping my eyes.

Gwen placed her hand on my cheek.

Once her cheek left my hand I opened my eyes. She was standing in the middle of the room. "Goodbye Peter. I love you." Gwen said with a smile on her face before she disappeared.

I felt tears stream down my face. I need to move on and be Spiderman. I need to do this for Gwen as her final wish. "Goodbye Gwen. I love you and will miss you." I cried out.
