Meeting a Legend (Herobrine X Reader)

Chapter 15

I ended up sleeping in the same bed as him that night.
I woke up and grabbed at the sheets. Disappointed when I felt them to be empty. I kind of hoped he would have stayed here today. I wanted to do something with him today but I guess he was busy.
I kind of wondered what he went to go do sometimes but kept forgetting to ask him. I pulled the sheets closer to me they smelt like him and it was nice. I looked up and saw my bag move a bit. Then I saw a little green head stick out of the bag.
"Bob I forgot you were in there."
Upon hearing his name the little slime climbed out of the bag and over to me. I closed my eyes thinking I would just lay here for a few more minutes then get up. Apparently Bob had other plans because I could feel the little slime nudgeing me. I swatted at him a bit but he wouldn't stop.
"Fine I'm getting up I'm getting up."
I sat up. I still didn't have a clue to what it was I was going to do today. I decided to play with Bob for a little bit but quickly grew bored of it.
Deciding to leave the little slime at home for once I headed out the door. I walked for a bit till I found a shady spot under a tree and just decided to rest there for a minute or to.
*Time skip*
"Mia........Mia!"
I snapped awake to see Steve leaning down over me. What... when did I fall asleep.
I looked up at the concerned miner. "Oh hey Steve."
"What are you doing sleeping out here."
"I don't know last I noticed I was awake."
I remembered something. "Steve I have a question."
"Yeah what is it." He asked with eager eyes.
"How could you abandon your own brother."
"Oh Herobrine told you that story did he." He said rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly and walking away a bit.
"Im an only child but I don't think I could abandon my only family just because he got powers."
That seemed to make him kind of mad. "Look I know I messed up. I was young and I was frightened by what he could do."
I just kind of stared, still sitting at the base of the tree.
"Could we talk about something else." He asked. It was weirdly quiet for a few minutes. Till he decided to speak up again.
"Hey you know the other day when I told you about wanting to explore that cave."
"Yeah"
"If you didn't have anything else to do today we could go explore it."
"I guess we could." I said getting up."
We headed to the cave. We didn't encounter many mobs on the way.
We arrived at the cave. Steve lead me down a passage in till we came to an opening.
"Woah its so big"
"You act as if you've never been mining before."
"Shush, its different in person."
He laughed some at that.
We explored for a bit. This cave was interesting it was more than just a cave. It was like an abandoned mine. I always liked exploring these.
I was walking with Steve for a while down one of the passages deep in thought till I was jarred from my thoughts by falling down a hole.
"Ow" I said as i fell. I looked up and saw that I had fallen through one of the holes that are sometimes in the floor of these places. Did I seriously fall through one of these. Geez I felt so "smart" right now.
I saw Steve poke his head over the hole "Mia you ok."
"Yeah the only think I really hurt is my pride on that fall."
He laughed a bit at that.
I stood up and almost stumbled and maybe my foot a little. I looked at the hole I don't think it was that high up maybe I could jump.
"Hey Steve I'm going to try and jump."
"I don't think your going to be able to jump out of that hole Mia."
"Wasn't my plan just stick your hand down."
I jumped reaching for his hand and missed. I also landed on that same foot , yeah that was "fun."
"You know there is a simple way out of the situation your in now right."
"No why didnt you say so earlier!"
"I was curious to see what your idea was."
"Could you just tell me please."
"Fine. The simplest way would be to place a block under yourself jump on top of it and then jump again but place the block before you land. Basically build yourself out of the hole."
That or I could break the wooden block right next to the hole and you could make a ladder."
"I'll make the ladder, but I don't have any blocks or ladders."
"No problem." He said dropping some blocks and ladders down the hole.
I built the ladder but was short one ladder. I started to climb thinking I might be able to make it. I reached the top rung and was stuck at a block of wood. tried reaching with my other hand to see if I could pull myself up. I almost could but not quite. I probably could if I had both my hands available.
Steve watched this for a minute then to my surprise grabbed the upper part of my arms and lifted me the rest of the way out the hole.
I laughed a bit. "I didn't think you'd physically pull me out of the hole.
"Well you were stuck."
"Wasn't I heavy though."
"Not really I carry heavier things all the time."
We decided to keep exploring a bit after that. We went deeper into the mine till. I saw quite a few things. Even found 3 Emeralds that I got Steve to mine for me since I didn't have my pic.
Right now we were in a part of the mine. That I thought was really cool. It was this room that was kind of like a chasm but instead of just being a deep hole there was lava at the bottom.
There was a cobblestone bridge that went across with wooden railings. I was leaning on a railing at the moment. Looking at the lava. You could see some Redstone glowing. If I had my camera I would take a picture.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a snap and then I was falling forward. I felt my shirt grabbed and I was pulled back into someone before I could fall off.
I was a little freaked out and hyperventilating. I just almost died. I just almost burnt to death.
"I just....I just almost died." I said and I found myself involuntary shaking for a minute. I looked at the place where the fence post just was. "That just almost happened."
I felt some ones arms tighten around me.
"Its ok Mia your alright."
I just stood there for a minute trying to calm myself down. I stopped shaking after a minute or two and my breathing returned to normal.
"Thank you Steve."
"There's no way I'd let you fall. Your not like me you wouldn't come back." He said his voice growing sadder towards the end.
"I think I'm fine now you can let go of me."
The arms that held me prisoner didn't move an inch.
I looked up at him. "Steve?"
"Oh sorry" he said then let me go.
"I think I'm good on adventuring for today." I said with a laugh let's head back.

There I finally have another update done. It took a while but I think it came out good. I have something special planned for the next chapter.
