It All Started Like This... (Eren X Mikasa)

Chapter 9: To The Hospital!

Eren's POV:

I quickly jumped out of the laundry pile and started running out and across the hall. It was no good. I was way too late to react. My nose kept bleeding all over the place and my face turned red, like anyone in a blackout would actually notice. I put some tissues in my nose and started to look around for her.

I checked the rooms in the hallway but she wasn't in any of them. But it was now obvious which room was Mikasa's. I continued down the hallway with the flashlight in my hands. I noticed that the house was bigger than mine as I was searching. And the inside or interior was really beautiful. I should have mentioned it when I just got in but of course I was busy having the nosebleed. The floors were made of polished brown wood while the walls were a smooth and creamy white. The doors were made of white wood and and golden knobs. That's what I was seeing most of the time in the house. But anyway...

I was now at the end of the hallway. I turned right to find stairs in front of me leading to the 1st floor. I shone my flashlight down the stairs, only to find Mikasa collapsed on the ground. I immediately rushed down to her. There was a little blood which made me panic.

"Mikasa! Are you okay?" No response. I checked to see if she was still breathing. I had to get down and get close to her chest to hear it which made me red but I had to make sure Mikasa was ok. The moment I heard Mikasa inhale a breath of air (which wasn't much) made me sigh in relief. I quickly backed away from the chest and tried waking her up. It wasn't working. I was going to have to call 911.

I took out my phone but I soon threw it furiously at the ground. 'Such great timing' I angrily told myself. My phone had no more power and died. I calmed down a few seconds later and sighed. I was about to pick it up when I noticed the open flip phone stuck in Mikasa's hair. I pulled it out and saw that the last call was from me. It made my head hurt thinking about it and I called 911 anyway.

The ambulance came but it took longer than usual for them since there was still a blackout. But they managed to find their way here. They took me and Mikasa to the hospital where her parents were working. Of course they were the ones that took care of her in the Emergency Room while I waited outside.

The hospital was running on a backup generator so that there was still power for the hospital even during a storm or a blackout. I wished every house had one.

I was sitting on the bench outside her room waiting to hear if she was okay or not. I couldn't believe that this would happen to Mikasa during the blackout.

I looked down at the floor in frustration. Then the memories of what happened earlier ran through my head but I calmed myself down. Mikasa, please be alright...

"Eren, wake up." I'm hearing strange voices... I just groaned and turned to the other side of the bed.

"Hey Eren! Wake up!" Now the voices are getting louder... I sat up from my bed and reached over to turn the lamp on. As soon as the lights turned on, I could see clearly that Mikasa was sleeping right next to me. My face turned red and I got out of the bed.
