From memorable, classic tunes such as World Is Mine, Electric Angel and Miku to underrated songs such as Francisca, Gothic and Loneliness and Creepy Toast, there is anything that someone can enjoy!
...Right, I should back up a little and tell you about it, shouldn't I?
Vocaloid is a program made by Yamaha released on January 15th 2004. It had originally been codenamed as Elvis, also changing to Daisy while under development, but was released with the name VOCALOID.
So who was the first Vocaloid I see you asking? You may think the first Vocaloid was Hatsune Miku (of whom I will be talking about later, as well as voicebanks and such) but no. It was, in fact, Leon and Lola, followed by Meiko and Kaito. Miku wasn't even the next or such; she was the second V2 released for the VOCALOID 2 program. But enough about her for now.
Who is your favorite Vocaloid? Drop their names, and let the Vocaloid fans find you!
Anyway, Vocaloid has since gotten more than its few voicebanks it had in its early days; so many you may forget a lot of newer or older ones exist! So, I've been talking about it, but I haven't really explained it.
The way the Vocaloid software works is that you get a voicebank and type in lyrics and tune to make singers for these songs. It doesn't even have to be Japanese, despite the fact the program originates from Japan. It can be any language such as English, Spanish, Chinese, German or French, some languages mentioned even give characters their own special language voicebanks!
If you know some Vocaloid songs in your native language, please drop the titles here in this inline comment.
Vocaloid also has some subsidiary songs series such as Evillious Chronicles and Kagerou Project.
Okay, I know what you're gonna ask next: "isn't it an anime?"
Considering what I've mentioned previously, I highly doubt that is the case, but, no! There is no official Vocaloid anime. The closest we'll get is Petit Sekai, a web series similar to Garupa Pico (Bandori/BanG Dream!'s web séries) in the chibi art style, however this, for what you may be looking for, isn't really accurate. There are, for some Vocaloid, official anime, but none such for Vocaloids owned by AHS and Crypton Future Media. If you're thinking about Miku being in an anime, this is most likely due to the fact as she often has appearances in different anime, for example, she's a side character in both Shinkalion and Jashin-Chan Dropkick.
While this may be disappointing to some, there are, in fact, a few Vocaloid games! I will be talking about the games featuring the characters owned by Crypton Future Media.

Firstly, Project Diva—a series of rhythm games made by Sega with Crypton Future Media. These consist of playable rhythm games featuring Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO and MEIKO. The first game in this series was released on July 2nd of 2009.

Next, we have Project Sekai, or known globally as Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage—a mobile rhythm game made by Craft Egg, Sega and Crypton Future Media. It consists of 5 groups of teenagers who have worlds named Sekai, in which Virtual Singers (or the Crypton vocaloids) find their true feelings. It also has a gacha system of which you can get new cards for characters.
Now lastly, I will be ending on this; despite all I've tackled here, the Crypton Vocaloids are no longer a part of Vocaloid as of Hatsune Miku NT. You can still use their voicebanks in the Vocaloid engine, Crypton Future Media is moving to work on their own vocal synthesiser program named Piapro.
Did we miss anything? Let us know in the comments! We're excited to see your discussions on all things Vocaloid.
