Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Summary

     Tsuna is a hapless youth with low test scores and lower self esteem. His mother hires a tutor to help Tsuna out, but it comes as a surprise to the both of them when the tutor is a baby named Reborn, claiming to be from the Mafia. Reborn informs Tsuna that he's the next heir to the Vongola family mafia family and tries to help Tsuna reach the goal. Reborn possesses the Dying Will bullet, which kills a person and brings them back to life to fulfill the last regret they had, and even works to get Tsuna some henchmen to make him a true mafia boss-in-training.

Plot
     So far, the best anime I have ever seen. Why? Basically because of its plot. It was unexpected someone like Tsuna, a lame and whimpy kid to be a mafia boss of a strongest family. I mean, it might be a bit cliche but most of mafia bosses have positive traits, like handsome (Tsuna's handsome too, at some point), intelligent, reliable, strong, brave—traits that a heroine (or even most girl viewers) would fall for to. Tsuna is completely the opposite, that makes this anime interesting. Home Tutor makes sense too. The twists how he got most of his guardians are really interesting, especially their relationship with Tsuna in the first place. Turn of events got more twisted on every Arc so you have to stay on track with every episode. And it isn't just pure fight or Mafia wars, there are episodes (a lot) that you'll really laugh so hard you'd be watching it all over again.

Animation/Style

     If you watch this anime at first, I know you'll be turned off since the illustration wasn't yet that good and catchy (to me, it's already catchy) , but episode per episode, it got developments that makes you continue. Men in black suit, that's Mafia for you. They're smokin' hot and cool *internally screams*. The fighting scenes are breath taking that when our hero here will fall down, you'll be like irritated yourself. The flames indicating their powers are catchy, the rings, the crests, the costumes Reborn wears, all of them were really thought through, making the anime as lively as possible.

Characters

     So let's start with Tsuna, he's a  no-good teenage boy who can't even hold a candle to Kyoko (his love interest). There isn't a single trait that makes him a suitable boss, but, even with this imperfections, Reborn had never abandoned him and tried his best for Tsuna to be a well-developed boss. I liked Tsuna's character because even though he's a coward, he'll never abandon his friends too. That character didn't change throughout the series. To be honest, I already tried roleplaying some of the characters (teeheee)

Music

     ALL TRACKS ARE WONDERFUL, BRILLIANT — from openings to ending songs. Believe me, I've listened to all of them including the Character Songs. The seiyuu actually held concerts for this, it's called Rebocon. If you have time, you could watch some clips of the concert on youtube. FYI, Yakusoku no Basho e is my favorite song, sang by the Vongola Family (there's a lot of version but still sang by their seiyuu).

Overall
     This is my best anime because, I don't feel awkward watching this with boys, there might be cleavage-showing but that's just to depict character. I laughed so hard to this and learned a lot of lesson. Friendship is also being prioritized in this.

NOTE : There's short special episodes in this anime, example is Haru Haru Dangerous Interview (chibi characters are just so cute). There's also Reborn Specials — the Reborn Homeroom, it made me think that all seiyuu are in good terms and are so close to each other. Watch their Afureko, Reborn style and you'll really laugh. I've watched it a lot of times and I can't get enough of it. To cut this, if you like Action-Comedy anime with less ecchiness, this one's for you.
