Sypnosis
Tatsumi is a self-acknowledge country bumpkin who is nonetheless a well trained fighter. He and two companions leave their remote village to head to the Imperial City to find a way to relieve their friends and family from ruinous taxation imposed by the authorities. Yet the Imperial City is filled with unimaginable amounts of corruption and evil from supernatural sources. Tatsumi is immediately swindled after reaching the City and nearly loses everything soon after, but finds himself allied with an unlikely group of assassins.
Plot
THE TWISTS AND TURN OF EVENTS ARE SUPEEEEER UNEXPECTED - caps lock to set intensification. I really like it's plot, I mean, you could say that the author have no mercy to the characters. I won't spoil. Nope. But really, you'll be having the feeling of like being inside the anime itself, witness the terrifying assassinations, feel what the character feels. This anime kind of trigger some heartstring especially when you get too attach to each characters. And about the mismatch of the title and the summary, as you have observed, it isn't titled Tatsumi ga Kill (it sounded off), well, you'll know why Akame ga Kill is Akame ga Kill.
Animation/Style
For someone like me who loves watching gore and murder, this animation really ticks your guts. The blood splashing, intense body chopping, horrible deaths. The fighting scenes were bold and not censored, so I suggest people who can handle this level of gore to watch this.Characters
I don't have any problem with the characters, their sense of camaraderie is so tight. Also, Tatsumi, as most of protagonists do, changes some part of the characters' way of life, something like that.
Music
My bad, I kind of skipped the opening and even the ending song since I am so excited to see the next episodes.
Overall
There's just a little bit of romantic feels and more of murder and fighting scenes. If you're kind of a person who's not into romance that much, watch this, I tell you, even if the ending doesn't really require a season 2, you'll crave for more.
Note : there'll be a remake of this anime, following the manga adaptation
