It's two nights before the wedding and I'm so nervous. Joseph and I agreed that we won't be having a bachelor or bachelorette party, instead we're going to California then fly to Hawaii around 9:30 pm for our wedding. We decided to go to the Swiss Alps for our honeymoon during the whole month of June then return on July first and plan Cherish's first birthday party. I feel so blessed for having the best fiancé and the best little family ever. We've definitely had our ups and downs, but we worked through them and focused on each other. I'm so happy Joseph has overcome all of his demons and focusing more on me and the children. Joseph helps me on the jet he rented out for the two of us, I sit down and instantly melt in the doughy seat.
"This is unbelievably comfortable," I moan happily. "I'm sure my babies would've loved flying with us."
"I think they would've loved it too. I wish we could've brought them," Joseph pouts.
"Me too, but we get to see them tomorrow at our wedding," I beam brightly. "Are you excited or nervous?"
"Both," he admits. "I get to marry the most beautiful woman in the world."
"Please don't make me tear up. I'm going to do enough of that tomorrow," I groan. "Did you invite Cody or Chad?"
"I invited both of them, Chad said he wasn't coming," he answers. "For obvious reasons."
"He should've came for me at least," I sulk. "I feel as if our friendship with him is going to crumble sooner or later."
"I know, but the guy is in love with you."
"If he loves me so much, he could still come to my wedding and support me," I snap angrily. I sink back in my seat and glare out the window broodingly. How can Chad not come? Is his love for me that strong that he rather save the heartache and spare his feelings? Even if I loved him like that, I still would've gone to his wedding because he's my best friend first and deserves my support."Don't beat yourself up over it," Joseph adds.
"I won't. I'm just going to be dreaming of tomorrow," I smile. I pull my phone and send Chad a quick text.Me: About to fly out. Wish you were coming to my wedding :(
He read my message and never replied. I toss my phone in my bag and throw myself back in the seat. I watch as the jet starts backing up and getting ready for take off. I get comfortable and close my eyes, hoping that everything is perfect tomorrow.
"Babe wake up," I hear a voice call out. I open my eyes and find myself in my bed in my old apartment. I look over on the other side and see Chad smiling over me.
"Good morning beautiful," he says sweetly.
"Morning?" I ask.
"Yeah silly. How's my boy doing?" he asks rubbing my pregnant stomach. I'm pregnant?
"Wait, where's Cherish?" I ask frantically.
"Who's Cherish?"
"My daughter, Chad!" I get up swiftly and rush into the nursery to find It decorated in mint green and white.
"Jasmine relax. You need to be careful," Chad says softly.
"Where's my daughter?" I sob.
"We don't have a daughter lovely. We're about to have a boy. Maybe you had a daughter in your dream," he explains.
"Where's Joseph?" I ask.
"Probably at home with Julia and their daughter Elissa," he answers.
"No, they have a son named JJ," I correct.
"You must've had a pretty crazy dream love," Chad jokes.
"So this is real?"
"Of course it is." I sit down in the rocking chair and let out an exasperated sigh. This has to be a dream."You're due any day now. Are you excited?" Chad asks happily.
"Yeah. Can't wait to meet him," I say weakly.
"Maddox is the name we agreed on, remember?"
"Right. Maddox. It's a wonderful name," I giggled. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain shoot through my legs. I squeeze my eyes shut, holding in the discomfort.
"I think Maddox is ready to come into the world," I groan.
—————————Maddox is my whole life. I fell in love with my beautiful son the moment he was laid on my chest. Now he's four years old, a ball full of energy. It's so difficult to keep up with him while Chad and I both work. I couldn't have asked for anything else.
"Mommy can I go play?" Max asks me sweetly.
"When I'm done, okay? Afterwards I'll take you out for sweets," I whisper to him.
"Can daddy come?" he asks playing with my pens.
"Why don't you go ask him? He's down with uncle Joseph," I say while walking him down to the studio with him. I stop mid step after I hear moans.
"Go wait in my office love bug, I'll ask him," I whisper. He nods and hurries back upstairs. I walk quietly down and see Chad and Julia having sex on the studio couch.
"Chad what the fuck?!" I scream.
"Jasmine! It's not what it looks like. Jasmine, Jasmine, Jasmine!"
———————————"Jasmine wake up! We're here." I jump up, breathing heavily.
"Oh my god Joseph! I had the craziest dream!" I pant. "I was with Chad and we had a son and then he cheated on me with Julia!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You had a son? What was his name?" Joseph asks.
"Maddox. That sounds like a name Chad would really pick," I say sadly. I grab my carryon bag and walk off the jet. The bright and warm sun beams down on me. I inhale the California air and feel most of my troubles melt away.
"You really wanted him to come?" Joseph asks.
"Yeah I did. He's my best friend. But I have to get over it. Today is about me and you," I cheer. "What are we going to do today?"
"I was thinking we could go on boat for a little bit, to a spa, lunch, then maybe we can just chill in the hotel until it's time for us to leave," he answers.
"Sounds like a plan. Let's get started!"
