Julia's pov

"Julia! What the hell are you doing?!" Cody yells.
"Nothing," I mutter. I took a long drag from the cigarette while staring at Cody.
"Smoking cigarettes and drinking won't get you JJ back," he says. "Put it out."
"Don't tell me what to do," I snap. "I'm a grown woman."
"Yeah sure. A grown women whose drinking and smoking her life away."
"Those beer bottles are old. Why are you even here?" I ask.
"I'm worried about you. I.. I found this in the kitchen." Cody pulls out a small ziplock bag with white powder in it.
"Knew I shouldn't have hid it in the kitchen," I say to myself.
"Are you really doing cocaine?" he asks.
"Acid, cocaine, heroin, all the good stuff," I answer sarcastically.
"Are you trying to kill yourself?"
"No, just numbing the pain," I mumble.
"You're gonna end up dead!"
"I don't care Cody. Joseph took my son and now he's calling that bitch mommy," I say with disgust. When Joseph told me that, I was so pissed off.

"You need to stop Jules. Drugs will kill you if you don't quit," Cody says with concern. He takes the cigarette from my lips and kisses them lightly. "I can make you happy too," he whispers.
"I know you can, but you can't replace the kind of happiness JJ gave me," I sniffle.
"I'll bring him back to you if that'll make you stop," Cody says while kissing my hand. "I hate seeing you hurt yourself."
"You'd do that for me?" I ask.
"Of course I would. I'll do anything to get him back for you."
"Oh thank you, Cody!" I squeal.
"You're welcome, my love."

I've been cheating on Cody with my drug dealer, Justin. I don't know why I'm doing this. It distracts me from the fact that my life is so fucked I suppose. Plus I get a discount if I sleep with him. I've been sleeping with him for a few weeks now, whenever Cody isn't here. I'm not sure if I truly love Cody. Hell, I'm not sure why I cheated on Joseph with him. I lay next to Justin, who is passed out on the bed, and light a cigarette. I inhale, then slowly blow the smoke out. I wonder how Cody is going to get my son back.
"Julia?" I hear Cody call out.
"Shit," I mumble. "Justin, get up."
"Ten more minutes," he groans softly.
"You need to leave right now," I urge. The bedroom slowly opens and there stands Cody, frozen in place.
"What the fuck? Are you serious?"
"I-I'm sor—"
"Save it. You can forget about me getting JJ," Cody says before slamming the door and leaving.
"Still got me," Justin mumbles tiredly. "Who is JJ."
"My son," I answer.
"Oooh sorry. I don't do chicks with kids," he says while getting out of my bed. "We can still sleep together.
"Get out already," I stifle. Everything's fucked.

Joseph's pov

The feeling of tiny baby kisses wakes me up from my deep slumber. I peep over and see JJ and Cherish on the bed. Every time I look at my children I feel nothing, but absolute bliss. I sit up slightly and pull Cherish into my arms. She tries turning over to get away but I hold that little munchkin close.
"Oh no you don't," I whisper to her.
"Did they wake you?" Jasmine asks from the bathroom.
"They did," I answer. "It's not a problem though."
"Chad's in the dining room. He said he had an urgent message for you, and he refused to leave without telling you," she informs. "He wouldn't tell me what it was, but he looked really sad."
"Thanks, beautiful." I hop out of bed with Cherish still in my arms and make my way to the dining room with JJ following right behind me.

"Hey, Chad. Jasmine told me you had urgent news to tell me. What is it?" I question.
"You may want to put Cherish down for this and have a seat," he says somberly. I put Cherish in her playpen and sit next to Chad. My heart starts racing at the thought of what he needs to tell me.
"What is it?" I ask again.
"Cody broke up with Julia a while back. Said she was cheating on him. Also told me that she was using drugs heavily.." he trails off.
"Is that it?"
"No. Um... How do I break this news down for you.."
"Just tell me what it is damn it," I demand anxiously.
"Julia is.. dead. Cody found her lying in her bedroom unresponsive and cold. The paramedics couldn't bring her back.."
