Stay With Me

Eren's POV:

Riding through the woods, I could see titans everywhere. People were disappearing right and left and there was nothing I could do about it.

Our group was trying to reach the wall before any more casualties could occur, but I knew we would not make it.

Bertolt was shouting something behind me but I couldn't make out any of his words. There was a ringing in my ears and I could feel blood dripping down the side of my face. Looking around, I noticed that only five of us remained. In the beginning our number was over fifty, but now we had been reduced to a measly number of five.

Levi rode in front of me the whole time, but not even once did he look back.

"Levi! Levi, please answer me!" I yelled over and over again, but he never replied.

Everyone else had already tried to get his attention, but none of them succeeded.

Suddenly a titan appeared to the side of us. Mikasa and Bertolt propelled towards it, but they didn't get very far. Another titan came running from behind and grabbed both of them. The next thing I saw was blood gushing from its mouth. Frozen in fear, I watched my friends die.

Tears streamed down my face as I heard the first titan running after us. Turning around to face Nanaba I yelled, "Hurry up! Its getting closer!" In a matter of seconds, the titan grabbed and ate her in the blink of an eye.

Scared out of my mind, I new I would be next. I couldn't turn into a titan and my 3D maneuvering gear was damaged.

"LEVI!!! TURN AROUND YOU SON OF A BITCH!" I scream at the top of my lungs, "Please..."

No response.

Levi kept on riding and I knew I had to do something. If we kept on going like this, then both of us would be dead within minutes. The titan that killed Nanaba started running again. Now there were two titans chasing after us and they would not stop until Levi and I were dead.

Guiding my horse to the right side of the path, I prepared to jump off.

I could still use my blades and hopefully bring the titans down. It might be a long shot, but I needed to try something. Doing this might give Levi a chance to make it safely to the wall.

As I swung my leg over, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Jumping off the horse, I rolled until I hit a tree.

Slamming my head into the trunk, I blacked out.

Slowly opening my eyes, I could feel my my body ache all over. I lay there motionless for what seemed like hours. As I tried to sit up, my vision became blurred followed by an intense throbbing. Crying out in pain, I grabbed my head where I had previously been injured.

I could feel the blood crusted on my hair and I could see a puddle on blood on the ground where I had been laying down.

Looking at my surroundings, I noticed that the sun had begun to set.

If I didn't find help or shelter soon, I would die out here. The titans would find and eat me alive.

Placing my hand on the tree trunk, I tried to stand up.

"Ahhh, my leg," I whimpered.

Falling down, my eyes started to water. "Great, it's broken!" I said feeling very frustrated. Examining my leg, I noticed that I was missing a boot. Looking around for it I soon gave up.

I was alone, injured, probably about to become titan chow, and missing my boot, but I didn't care anymore. All my friends were dead and Levi was gone.

Wiping away the tears, I leaned against the tree.

Levi was probably safe inside the wall by now. He's probably enjoying a nice warm bath or eating a fresh cooked meal. As long as he is safe, that's all that matters. I would never forgive myself if anything happened to him.
Levi is very special to me. Even though he acts tough and treats me like everybody else, when we are alone together he acts different.

About two months ago, Levi confessed his feelings for me. He said he's always felt something towards me. He wasn't sure what it was until just recently.

Ever since then, we have been together. My feelings for him have grown every day and he is now the most important person in my life.

Closing my eyes, I wondered if this was it. My head had started to bleed again and soon I would die from blood loss. Starting to feel tired I dozed off.

Levi's POV:

"Eren!" I called out frantically, "where are you?!"

I had been searching for hours, but I couldn't find him anywhere.

The sky was getting dark and I feared that a titan had gotten to him. His gear was broken and I knew he couldn't turn into a titan so his chances of survival were very slim.

Riding as fast as I could, I ventured further back into the woods.

I soon came across a boot near the side of the path.

Coming to a halt, I hopped off the horse. As soon as I did, I saw a body leaning against a tree. Running over I realized that it was Eren.

"No!" I cried out crouching down by his body. Looking him over I noticed that there was blood everywhere. Bringing his body into my arms I whispered, "Please be alive, you can't leave me, so please be alive."

Placing my fingers to his neck I could feel a pulse. It was very weak but it was there.

"Thank God!" I sobbed.

If Eren was dead, then I don't know if I could live on.

Picking up his body, I walked over to the horse.

Looking around, I realized I hadn't seen a Titan since I lost Eren. It was very unusual but I was glad. This would mean that I could get Eren to safety.

Hoisting him onto the the horse, I heard him mumble something.

"Hey Eren, can you hear me?" I said softly climbing onto the horse.

"Nng..."

Holding onto him tight I whispered, "Stay with me forever, I don't want to loose you. You mean the world to me."

Eren slowly moved his hand and put it on mine.

Kissing him on the head, we rode home.
