"You two. Elevator." Gibbs demanded, pointing at Tony and I.

Uh oh. We followed him in. He soon switched off the elevator with the flick of a button.

"Are we in trouble?" I asked.

Gibbs shook his head.

"Did you guys know Aiden has been over at my place every afternoon after school for the past couple months?" He asked.

"I mean we knew he stopped by everyday yea, but only to say hey. He really looks up to you Gibbs." Tony said.

"We have been talking about college and life after school. He's been talking about training next year and finishing his school over seas. He wants to be a marine." He said.

I was shocked. He had never mentioned any of this to us.

"You might want to sit down and talk to him, make sure it is for sure the choice he wants to take. If that is the case, I can help you guys get all that worked out." He offered.

We both nodded. He flipped the switch to the elevator back on. Right before the doors opened he looked at us.

"It's a scary thing, but it takes a special person to want to do it."

That afternoon, Tony and I sat at the house waiting for Aiden so we could talk to him. I heard the front door slam shut followed by a loud growl.

"He's home." I said.

He stomped into the living room to find us on the couch.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Lily is wrong, that's what! Lily and her new boy toy are awful together!" He crossed his arms.

I tried to hold back my smirk.

"Are you sure you aren't just jealous?" I asked.

"No! It's just, he doesn't treat her the way she needs to be treated. She so caring and smart, and he is so.. Not!" He frowned.

"If it's not meant to be it won't last long." I smirked but covered my face.

"Come sit by us. We want to talk to you." Tony said.

Aiden was hesitant.

"Is this a trap? I am not painting the nursery!" He shook his head and backed away.

"No trick, just want to talk." Tony said.

Aiden sat between us.

"We heard you have been going over to Gibbs for a while. He said you have been talking about the marines." Tony said. Aiden froze.

"Yea.. So?" He asked.

"Why didn't you tell us?" I asked.

"Because I knew you'd worry. That's the last thing you need right now."

"Honey no matter the situation I'm going to worry about you. I'm a mom and you're my son. You are worth the worry." I smirked.

"If this is truly what you want to do, we will support you no matter what." Tony said.

Aiden nodded.

"It's what I want. What is basketball ever going to do for anyone? I want to do something that will make a difference." He said looking at Tony and I.

We both nodded. The thought was scary, but like Gibbs said, it takes a special person to want to do that.

"So about that nursery." Tony smiled.

"NO." Aiden stood up and walked straight out the front door.
