REPOST for those who missed it. Wattpad notifications have gone screwy lately and people have been having problems getting the notifications.

**********

I woke up facing an empty side of the bed. It didn't look like James had been in it at all.

There was a pounding in my head that seemed to increase with every small movement I took. I slowly turned and the light felt like piercing daggers that went straight through my eyes into my brain. I groaned and pulled the covers over my head to hide my eyes from the offending brightness.

"Really doesn't seem like a good idea now, does it?" James asked from a different part of the room.

I reached my hand out to the table beside the bed and opened up the drawer. I pulled out a pair of sunglasses I had stashed in there and slid them on over my eyes. I then opened them again and slowly made my way out of bed and over to the window where I pulled the blinds shut.

Holding my head with one of my hands I shuffled over to one of the chairs and sat down.

James slid a cup of coffee over to me. There was still steam coming off the top. He then passed me two small pills. Aspirin.

I gladly popped the pills in my mouth and chased them down with the coffee.

"I should really be having water you know," I croaked.

"You should. But I also know that you would rather coffee and that you won't make any moves to go get water."

He was right. I did prefer the coffee.

"Can you talk a little lower?" I asked rubbing my temple.

I lifted the sunglasses slightly looking around. The room was darker since I'd shut the blinds and it helped my headache.

"So, about yesterday," he said a little quieter.

"Ugh please." I pulled the glasses back down to hide my eyes. "I really don't want to talk about that."

"It needs to be talked about. I didn't mean to let my anger get control yesterday-"

"Look Jared." His brows raised as I used his real name. "Since leaving it seems like we've done nothing but argue when it comes to the paranormal world. The fact of the matter is, we are both part of it. We have completely different views on what we should do. You want to sit back and wait things out and I just can't do that. I'm used to action, to doing something proactive."

I took a deep breath. This was something that I'd been thinking about off and on the past three months. Words that I hadn't really wanted to voice, but after everything I'd said yesterday, they needed to be.

"Look. I know that you're not happy with what I said yesterday. Bringing it up with you was the right decision though because I honestly think it would have been worse for me to go behind your back."

He nodded at that. I knew he couldn't argue with me on that point, because it was entirely true.

"Like I said, we have differing opinions."

I took a shaky breath. This was not something I wanted to do with a hangover because I was too emotionally unstable.

"The Organization isn't after you," I said slowly. "They're after me. I know that you don't agree with what I do, but I can't just sit here and twiddle my thumbs. If you want, you can go back home. You can go back with your sister and as long as you don't do anything to draw attention to you, then you'll be perfectly fine-"
