Fear of Life 001

Leaving the Kinkou Order may not be as wise as it sounds, but it was what Akali came to a decision in doing. It's been a couple of months ever since she had done such and so far, she hasn't regretted it. She was never against their ways, but she certainly felt like they could do something more to bring peace and balance.

Even without the Kinkou's support, Akali strove in the path she chose to take. Blood was spilled and lives were taken, but for her, it was for the greater good. They say if someone were to kill a murderer, the count of murderers in the world wouldn't change. If she really was going to be labeled a murderer, then she intended to make the title worth it by executing all those who threatened the innocent.

In her journey though, there were times that she'd find herself injured after a fight with a target of hers. Though she always recovered, she retained the scars of her doings. She bore them proudly, knowing because of what she committed, the people in the small villages of Ionia may sleep in peace.

Akali eventually figured that she could extend her deeds in other lands, which prompted her to set forth in traveling out of Ionia. Using the coin she received from the ones that fell victim in her hands, she managed to successfully venture elsewhere.

With everything she had done, of course an unexpected development transpired. During one of the times she had taken down this corrupt political figure that apparently owned a slaving trade at the outskirts of Demacia, she managed to capture the interest of a particular demon that was worshipped by a cult in the mentioned nation.

Apparently, the satanic being had been eyeing the man's other associates for quite a long while now. Once Akali had somehow intervened and shed blood without batting an eyelash, it made the demon's said to be nonexistent heart sing in delight at the sanguine sight.

When Akali realized whose attention she had enticed, she tried removing the creature from her tail. She attempted to do the same thing she had done to the ones she dealt with, yet with her tries in execution repeatedly ending up in failure, it showed that the demon wasn't going to let her ruin its fun.

"What are you?" She harshly questioned as she stood in the middle of an eerie clearing in a forest found in between Demacia and Noxus.

"Shouldn't you ask who I am?" Was the echoing, enticingly sweet response of the shadows around her. It seemed to be a female demon. A husky chuckle followed soon after its words. "Though I love a mortal that actually has a mind of their own. Or maybe you're just suppressing your deepest desire. It might be why you haven't fallen for me."

Akali scoffed. "Two things, demon. One, I haven't even seen you up close and personal. Two, I have no interest in your twisted tricks. Lust is a weapon, and I won't let you use it against me."

"Oh, sweet, sweet darling," The demon cooed at her, still remaining cloaked by the darkness around the ninja. "if I wanted you dead, I would've killed you days ago. In fact, didn't you know there was a group of mercenaries trailing after you?"

At the mention of that, Akali became rigid for a split-second before she glanced around, knowing from the demon's laughter that she had noticed her brief reaction.

"With you being so focused on me, you're becoming rather forgetful when it comes to covering your tracks."

Akali scoffed again, tightly gripping her kunai and kama. "As if I can't handle a few mercenaries."

"I doubt that you can't, but I'm more than a little certain you wouldn't be able to defeat them when you're asleep."

A cold caress grazed the back of her shoulders, but when she spun around and swung her kama, she struck nothing but the cool air of the night. The mocking laughter that followed served as proof that she hadn't been successful with her attack.
