Helloooo everyone, I am back! Sort of.
After struggling with various sleep disorders, depression and coming close to a full blown burn out (more than once), I'm trying to ease myself into writing again.
So, while a lot of ideas are floating around in my mind, most of them are not in a state in which I can share them. But today I finished a story that kind of has been "brewing" at the back of my head for about three years and that I kinda like.

@Kaiddance Thank you so much. I'm actually feeling a lot better at the moment, I've been hesitant to turn to meds but in the end they are actually helping. Hoping it will stay like this and I can recharge my creative batteries that have just been drained for too long! @wdhenning Thank you! I am, it just really... took some time to get myself together, and I guess it's an ongoing process :D

@unknowngirl__15 Hi, thanks so much for your message, glad you ejoyed the story! Sadly my irl responsibilities really limit my time to write these days, I don't think I'll be able to update this story in the foreseeable future, but I'm working on an update of another story of mine, The 10th Circle. Maybe that could interest you as well, it's also a scifi story dealing with artificial intelligence and the human mind :)

Hello everyone.
Long time no see (except for those who follow/know me on social media, haha). From time to time I come here and realize I still get reads, votes and sometimes even comments on my stories, despite an embarrassing lack of updates.
I want those who might still be interested in my stuff to know that I haven't forgotten about Wattpad, and of course not about my stories. I want to write so badly, you have no idea. But moving back to my home country kinda makes me feel like my English skills have declined again. I'm trying to compensate by reading more (mainly SciFi literature), and anyway I read lots of scientific literature at work, but somehow it feels like I've lost the ability to turn the images in my head into nice words, you know what I mean?
So... I'm thinking, maybe at this point it would be best to just start writing, anyway, and not care about "polishing" the language too much? Would people still be willing to read that? I don't know...
Let me know what you think.
What are your best techniques to getting your "writing game" back on when you feel a bit lost? Any advice?
PS: Yes, this in an actual quote from "Dark Abyss", the story within the story "The 10th Circle". In the next part, there will be a few excerpts from the mysterious book that Sky found in the library in Tararos...

@taivaan_sininen I would be interested in reading more of Sky’s story. Readers on Wattpad, I think, are much more forgiving of “unpolished” writing than elsewhere, and some like me actually appreciate the raw passion of it. Of course, there are limits. As far as getting back a writing groove, it sometimes helps me to step back and read from an author whose style I admire. Hope all is going well.

@AuthorJMColes Hey there! Story for the delay in replying. I've essentially been ghosting Wattpad because I was too overwhelmed by the flood of notifications (and spam messages I got in my inbox :( ) I'm doing fairly ok! My job has been quite demanding in the past months, I also caught covid in November which basically knocked me out of the world of the living for almost two weeks, and I still feel like I haven't quite fought my way back :'D But... I'm working on it. How are you? :3
