Wattpad Readers, Writers & Friends - It has been seven months since my last post here, and seven months since I took down my works due to copyright infringement. As of today, some of my works remain posted without my consent on another website, despite my attempts to get them down. Wattpad has continued to ignore not only my efforts, but the efforts of many other authors whose work have been stolen as well.
As a result, I have rarely been here as a reader and am no longer here as a contributing writer or ambassador. I have also taken down all my social accounts, and am only sharing a monthly poem, short piece or song on my website blog. As far as new and previously unpublished works, I am in the process of submitting to editors at reputable journals who respect the rights of authors and get their lawful permission to publish creative work.
This seems the only way to move forward, and the only way to continue creating and writing in a way that allows both readership and respect of my work. While it may seem like I've deserted readers here and followers on socials, I am doing what I can to preserve a writing life (however small) and protect the rights of myself and other creatives.

@spacetodream Stacie, it's nice to hear from you again. You've been a very memorable part of my poetry journey and now and then I always come back to your account to see if you're back. I respected then, and I respect now your decision to protect your art. I am glad that you still write, and that I'll be able to read your poetries again. Hope you've been well, how have things been? Anything new? And also congratulations on having your works published in journals!

@spacetodream I'm glad to hear you're still writing, Stacy and have your own webblog! Unfortunately, I've been told by legal people there is nothing WP or any other site can legally do about so-called "mirror sites" and those based in countries that don't pay any attention to things like copyright. That is most likely why WP doesn't want to talk about it. Their hands are tied. I've also been told it's child's play to copy an entire website if you know how and there is nothing legally or otherwise the original can do to stop you, unles you are "false fronting" them, which it doesn't seem these other sites are. It's sad but that seems to be the nature of the internet and internet law at this time.
