Hey, I'm May! It's nice to meet you. Don't hesitate to say hello or send me a message! I'm always happy to meet other writers and readers.

I'm an expert at evading real life and hiding in the world of storytelling. As a child, I spent my days buried in books. Since then, I have studied literature at UCLA, dedicated my career to freelance editing and translation, founded Books & Quills Magazine, and  spent my adult  life writing in blanket forts. I surround myself by words every day--and I still can't get them right!

I was raised in both rural Mexico and suburban Los Angeles. I once had a pet turtle. It ran away. (I'm serious.) I own more books than I've read and more journals than I've written in. The SWAT team has been in my backyard. I love so many genres of music! (Including yodeling.) Autumn is my favorite. 

I am very good at getting lost, forgetting, procrastinating, saying completely irrelevant and random things, laughing, and being awkward. 

I'm very bad at hiding my emotions, surviving in any sort of apocalypse or dystopia, and writing any sort of bio or about me.
