I always wondered, why was it called a crush. is it because you have a hopeless chance with them? its just the innocence  of liking somebody. what a silly thing to think about. but then i realized, after a while of spending my days pondering, it's not called a crush because you simply like someone you have no chance with, it's called a crush because that's how you feel; crushed. all of the memories rush into your brain, bombarding your most recent thoughts. the time you spent thinking about them makes you feel dumb and it seems almost stupid to try again. to try to impress them because you're crushed. and being crushed, leaves you feeling hopeless.  and once you're crushed you try to put the pieces back together but nothing seems right anymore, almost like everything has changed. and everything has changed. it's collapsing around you and you're trying to stay on top, but this weight of being crushed keeps pulling you under. so no, a crush isn't just the innocence of liking someone. it's so much more than that.
