It takes a lot of energy to have hope for the future, so give yourself permission to ease into it. Give yourself permission to start small when it comes to looking ahead toward the future. Maybe looking forward to things isn't so much about planning a perfect future, but about practicing hope in that place of our heart where it takes a lot of energy to do so.

So here's to being mindful of the energy we give. Here's to recognizing that when it comes to looking ahead toward the future, we can start small.

Here's to looking forward to the small things. The small things that might not seem to make that big of a difference but ultimately end up reminding us that we are in fact alive and a part of something larger than ourselves. It's worth getting excited about any little thing that reminds us it's worth it to keep living with a heart that is open to the possibility of what's to come.
