❝Find a place inside where there's joy, and the joy will burn out the pain.❞

Hi, I'm Charlie. I'm a full-time university student studying biocultural anthropology and archaeology and I write as a creative outlet to try and relieve stress. There is always a possibility I will rage-quit academia and go into theatrical costuming.

I love fairytales, sci-fi, theatre, all Hayao Miyazaki films, lesbian period dramas, and I drink way too much ice coffee.

I am always looking to improve my writing and am open to constructive critique.

I do not do automatic "follow back."

I use the same username (abesentminded_artist) and pen name (Charlotte Doyle or E. C. Doyle) on every site where I post my writing. My writing is only posted on Ao3 and Wattpad. If you see any of my stories posted under a different username, or you see them posted on another site, it is NOT me. Please tell me if you ever see this.

If you happen to know me in real life, I use a pseudonym for privacy. Please respect that.

My profile image is "Reading Woman" by Ivan Kramskoy.
