You can call me August, but I will also be summoned by cool pond bugs and/or pictures of cats.
I'm a Fantasy writer with a fondness for chucking characters into things they think they aren't prepared for. I like how life looks from wild animals' eyes, the bottom of the sea, or the aftermath of the apocalypse. Or an airship. I'm rather fond of airships!
In the normal world, I'm a biology lover who plays with words and keeps Carassius and Corixidae in outdoor aquaria. I am five years old inside.
I wasn't kidding about the pond bugs.
Dreamcatcher is my entry for Wattpad's 2020 Open Novella Contest. Step inside for tropical Steampunk airships and a world that shouldn't exist in the sky... but does. Complete.
Updating soon is I See Fire, an Aztec-inspired Fantasy set in post-apocalyptic Mexico. Did I mention I love worldbuilding?
Under construction is Listen to the Water, the first of a deep-sea trilogy with merfolk that look the part. There's a prophesy. Also lots of tiny squid.
Stories of Shelha is my pet project, born in 2012 and headed for completion. It hasn't got orcs or elves or anything else you'd probably associate with Fantasy, but then again, it hasn't got Earth or humans either. Book IV updates on Fridays.
Anyway, that's all for me. The rest of this is logistical notes. However you found my profile, welcome :)
