My name is Abby.
The world has just begun to recover from a pandemic (COVID-19), some are still battling it (like my country Nigeria), and in the midst of that, America is going through a historic moment as mass peaceful protests are being carried to illuminate and combat the deep rooted issues of systemic racism against people of colour and minority communities but most especially blacks or African Americans, they are also protesting the laws that allow police to be needlessly brutal without cause. The war cry of those protests is the phrase BLACK. LIVES. MATTER.
But it is not just racial Inequalities that they are protesting, they are also protesting a system of laws that enrich the rich and puts down the poor.
I cannot go out of my home and do any protesting because
1) I live all the way in Africa, Nigeria to be exact.
2) No protests that I know are happening here.
3) If there were protests against our corrupt leaders the police who are already corrupt on their own will not use rubber bullets but the real deal.
So the best I can do is stand in solidarity with my people, because lets not forget, African Americans were taken from Africa, and this protests are happening because despite gaining freedom they are still oppressed by a system rigged against them.
Black lives matter, they are people too, they deserve to live a life free of fear.
I have a detailed book on my account titled "Black lives should have always mattered." In there I will detail everything I can to educate my little following of what is really going on.
Stay blessed y'all, love your neighbor as you love yourself regardless of skin colour or tribe.
This bio will be up as long as the protests do, it is my own way of protesting and also to educate those that read it.
