Favorite part of a book: The descriptions
They give a visual, and instead having to decide what each and every character looks like yourself, you would usually feel that the author's description is more valid, so to speak. Unlike when someone tells us what a friend might look like, when an author says the character looks a certain way, we the readers know that the description don't have to match the character. We know that fictional characters can look any way we want them to look. We don't have to follow the author's description. But then again, why not? Because even characters have flaws. But we want to deny those flaws. We want those fictional characters that we know to be perfect. We only see their good side, not their bad.
