I happen to be one of those writers who daren't call themselves an author, because they truly aren't but they still dream of it every day. I write a lot, my Drive is full of decent ideas whose surfaces have only been barely scratched, although my Wattpad account is rather bare. But that doesn't matter. What matters is that I keep going and so do you.
