Hey, I'm Picxie. 🎈

Just a girl from Toronto who spends far too much time inside her own head. I'm curious, observant & probably a bigger overthinker than I'd like to admit.

I work a fairly normal 9-to-5, but outside of work and writing, I'm basically a professional wanderer with questionable enthusiasm for errands. Give me a Costco, Walmart, or any store with aisles to wander through & I'm happy. I can go in for 3 things & somehow spend an hour browsing things I didn't know existed.

I love travelling, long drives with the music, discovering new places, trying new food & taking detours for pretty roads or sunsets.

And then there's plane watching. I absolutely love watching planes, especially landings. There's something strangely satisfying about sitting near an airport and watching aircraft come in one after another. I could do it for hours. ✈️

I'm a big foodie, love trying new dishes, and collect random words and phrases from different languages. I probably know a few words in more languages than I can actually speak. And yes, the curse words are usually what people teach you first. 

Music is a huge part of my life. I love listening, getting lost in it, and dancing.

I'm a selenophile, pluviophile & ceraunophile, so a beautiful moon, rainy day, or thunderstorm can still make me stop and stare. 🌙🌧️⚡

I'm lucky to have wonderful friends & a family that has always made me feel loved and, admittedly, a little pampered. 🥰 I'm happiest surrounded by good people, good food, and good music.

My parents have always said, "Whatever happens, happens for a reason." I don't always know where life is taking me, but I've learned to enjoy the ride.

And then there are heels. I love the way they make me stand a little taller, fix my posture, and feel like I can take on the world. As Alexis wisely said: "I don't skate through life, David. I walk through life, in really nice shoes." 👠
