A quick note before you dive in:

Daughter of Surprise started life as Córka Niespodzianki - a novel I wrote in Polish. It's a story I care about a lot, and I didn't want it to stay behind a language barrier, so I've been translating it into English myself, chapter by chapter.

I want to be upfront: English isn't my native language. I've done my best to keep Sky's voice - sarcastic, a little chaotic, hopelessly herself - intact through the translation, but if you spot an odd phrase or two, that's why. I'd genuinely love to hear from readers if something reads strangely; I'm always trying to improve as I go.

What I hope comes through, imperfect English and all, is the heart of the story: a goddess who never got the memo on how to be a proper goddess, a slow-burn she absolutely did not ask for, and a mythology that's a lot bigger than it first looks.
