Sky has one job: remind humanity that the gods still exist. It's the kind of mission Zeus hands out after three bottles of wine and a grudge- which is exactly how she ended up with it, banished from Olympus for a prank involving his sacred beard and a stolen thunderbolt. What she finds on Earth isn't mortals hungry for faith. It's the Institute of Surprise- a cutting-edge research organization with a very simple goal: hunt down every remaining god and erase them for good. Within days, Sky is Subject 341-A: caged, studied, and slowly stripped of everything that makes her divine, one "labor" at a time. She's also, against every ounce of good sense, falling for the man running her captivity. Professor Emanuel Persephone has a lab coat, a bad smoking habit, and secrets of his own- starting with the fact that he isn't human at all. As Sky claws back her powers one impossible trick at a time (with a lot of sarcasm and at least one talking squirrel), she has to figure out who she can actually trust inside an institution built to destroy her- and whether going home to Olympus is even something she wants anymore. Funny, sharp, and never quite as helpless as anyone around her assumes, Sky is a goddess figuring out her own myth in real time- one surprise at a time. ---- Although I'm not a native speaker I'm trying my best to deliver Sky's untamable humor and share her story with you.

Jednak jedno zakazane wyjście do lasu i spotkanie z prawdziwą Strażniczką niszczy jej bezpieczną bańkę.
