Heyo, my precious smol beans. Wow, it's really been a while since you last saw that greeting, right? It's Alex here, aka Nicoismysenpai. It's been a really long time, and...well, hi? How's everyone doing? Are you all alive, kicking, doing well?
It's come to my attention that Wattpad will be closing DMs on May 6th. Admittedly, I've been very bad with DMs, because I keep thinking, "oh, I'll find the time to reply later" and then I never have the time. I thought I had all the time in the world. But now, it looks like I've run out of time.
I don't think words can describe how sad I am over this change, as Wattpad has long been a place for me to communicate and socialise with online friends, and their DM system was a big part of what set this site apart from others for me, even though I haven't used it in a long while. I've had so many sweet moments with friends over DMs where we would chat for hours, and even though many of those friends (including me in a way, I guess) are gone now, I still keep many of those chats as a piece of remembrance and would love to continue keeping them, at the very least.
To Wattpad, this is an open letter to beg you to reconsider removing/deleting the DM system, as it is not only a way for us to communicate with our friends, but also a piece of history that cannot be replaced. Please.
However, whatever decision they choose, I will still be staying on Wattpad, since I've been horribly inactive lately so I suppose it won't be much of a difference for me either way. [1/3]
