I'm Kyrena Kalakali (Yes, it's a pen name - no, you may not know my real one. A girl needs her privacy...) but I go by "Ky". I'm 3rd generation Italian-American & come from a pretty old-fashioned family.

I love a good story or a beautiful piece of art & don't really have any favorite genre/style. I go w/ what appeals to me & try to be honest -but tactful- about what doesn't. I dabble in both writing & art, not devoting enough time to either to be exceptionally good, but I have tons of concepts floating around that I wish I could see come to life. A bit of perfectionism tends to be my worst shortcoming - especially when it comes to creativity. I'm one of those people who before even starting to write about a world they've come up with will have to plan out everything about it, down to drawing up designs & blueprints for the buildings.

Oh, in case you haven't guessed by now, I'm a chronic abuser of aposiopesis...

But enough about me. *shrugs* ...

Amelia Peabody series, Lord of the Rings (Tolkein's style annoys me at times), Harry Potter, Nancy Drew/Trixie Belden, Anne of Green Gables, Tarzan, Dark-Hunters, Encyclopaedias, almost anything by Austen, Shakespeare, or Christie...

Music:
Wrock (No, not a typo), Rock (Rockabilly to Metal & everything in between), Classical, Celtic, Hindi, Latin, Arabic ...
