I can barely believe it's been a year. Last Blue Monday I thought of the people that suffered from depression or other mental health problems. And you know what, today I do again. And you know what more? There hasn't been a day over the past year that I didn't. Because it's just part of life, no matter how much we wish differently.

So, take care of yourselves. Ask for help if you need it. We're in this together. You will be okay.

oh my lord sorry for being so late, my life has been incredibly full (and fun!) lately and i’ve not much time to be on here.

you’re very kind too - i’m lucky to have you as a friend <3

i’m glad you have some understanding, and at any rate people who you can talk at who’ll comfort you best they can. is christmas going well?

the holidays have improved my mood drastically, i’m really looking forward to giving people presents (especially my family, since i’ve never given them presents before - my dad’s getting a lovely copy of the lord of the rings trilogy, my sister is getting this beautiful flamingo necklace, and for my mum i’m drawing a picture of the road she grew up on when she lived in india). i’m taking breaks now, and my productivity is at its peak!! and i’m rewatching merlin, and it’s just as fun as it was the first time, so really life is going very well, and talking to you has just made me realise that-

thank you for being here for me too <3 much love to you, i sincerely hope you’re doing better xxxx

So, I'm looking back on a really strange year. I don't have to explain why, I don't have to talk about the bad side: everyone knows. So I'll list my fondest memories of this year, to remind myself and everyone that this year had good moments as well.

1a. My wedding. On the 28th of August, in the presence of the people that are dearest to us, my wife and I told each other and the world we'd forever be there for each other and love each other. All around happy faces.

1b. Our official wedding. The 12th of June we officially signed. It was an extremely sunny, happy, joyous day.

          2. In March, overtired, I didn't stop my wife from buying a dog. Since then, Mallow is part of our life, and i wouldn't want in any different anymore. She's the cutest and cuddliest and I love her.

          3. National championships. In January, before everything changed, we swam what would eventually be the only meet of the year. It was incredibly stressful, but also really cool. I'll forever be proud of my duet partner (and myself).

          4. Despite everything going on, my friend became my very best friend ever. We've done so many fun things; playing games, supping, eating ice cream in the pool in the garden, good food either in the restaurant, take away or cooked, home escape rooms, smoothies in the sun. Many awesome moments together, and friendship shines.

          5. And finally, not necessarily a fond memory, but a very proud one, I got psychological help this year. I'm still working, there's more to do, but I'm growing :)

And you? What are your good memories of the year?

definitely nice, even if it cost us (:

@Potato190505 I agree, good things used to be taken for granted, but this year has made that less so. Which is nice, I think :)

Happy Christmas!

It's strange this year, but that doesn't mean we can't have a good time. So I hope you all enjoy these days, whether you celebrate Christmas or not.

To my dear American friends:
I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I feel bad for those that have their rights taken away. I feel bad for those who are too dumb to realize what they are voting for. I feel bad about the polarization, and I feel bad about the threats and uncertainty.

I truly can't understand half of your country and I'm sorry you have to deal with them.
          Stay safe.

Adviced by the brilliant @Potato190505 I colored my profile yellow to remind you all of World Mental Health Day on the 10th of October. I added the blue heart, which is the symbol I use with my friends supporting each other's mental recovery and growth.
If you're struggling, don't hesitate to reach out. It can get better and you don't have to do it on your own.

Potato190505

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! and i love the blue heart <3
