In a far away town, in a nowhere place,
lived a aspiring author, who drew with grace,
a world and a story, characters and chase,
by Gary Gygax and his royal disgrace.
So sit back, my friend, I will tell you a tale,
that asks the question: If you happen to fail,
are you truly evil? Do good's forces quail,
at your name and mention from foes you assail?
If you happen to succeed; are you then good?
Is that all that it takes? The people who could
defeat adversaries are ones who rule should,
because they have become our version of good
Nay, good and evil are simply victor's terms,
Used by those who seek to, their rule, reaffirm,
evil are those who can't be controlled long-term,
good are the people who will, your rule, confirm.
The villain is good; the orphaned are evil?
That's a hard pill to swallow in the sequel
because who can long note the truth wi' his quill,
of good versus evil 'tween heaven and hell
So sit, dear child, and enter a world of lore,
a world it's inhabitants love and abhor,
of elves, dwarves, and men; dragons, teiflings and orcs,
LeShay, Gnomes and Hobbits, rampant and demure
Live Long and Prosper!
