(IT’S OKAY SJDBSIDNEJ I haven’t been very active on Steve lately aNyway, I’ve had sosososo much muse for Matt lately c: )
Steve listened to each and every word that slipped past the dark-haired man’s lips, his smile soft yet bright at the same time while he did so. He really thought that? The blonde had never seen himself as anything other than a tiny asthmatic man who kept getting himself into fights, one who kept lying about who he was on his papers and was practically ignored by the vast majority of women — but Bucky? Bucky had stuck around and genuinely saw something in him, something so much more, and he never ignored the (at the time) much smaller man. “God, you see a hell of a lot more in me than I see in myself.” At this point he was pretty sure he’d fallen for Peggy to try and get his mind off of the things he felt for his best friend, the one who had all the women swooning over him with just one look, but all this time it had always been Bucky. “I love you too, but when was that somethin’ new?” Steve moved to sit upright, but he quickly settled down into the other once again except this time he was just sat up. “Seriously, though, it’s always been /you/.”
