Jake was a loner. It's what he was and will always be. He's never had friends before; if you didn't include his siblings or Daisy. His middle school bullies tormented the life out of him. He just wanted high school to end so he could at least try to be a singer, but things would be too good to be true, and he'd fail...just like his bullies told him. Things change when a stubborn blue-haired girl wouldn't leave him alone. She kept telling him she'd continue bothering him until they became friends. He didn't want to believe such a thing was even true, but she existed and was bullied too. Why not break the cycle and give it a shot?

You would think going to the birthday party of your friend's crush would turn out like any other; just having fun and seeing your friend crushing over the birthday kid in the most obvious way, wishing to have a great time with friends. Not have it feel ruined at the sight of two of your bullies at the party. Well, you don't always get what you wish for. That's at least what one, Hailey Austin, thought in the beginning, but one thing led to another, friends were made, and friends were lost. Will her thoughts change throughout getting to know the duo, or will they stay the same? Drama ensues. This story is a what-if scenario where Jake becomes friends with the Music Club earlier, specifically in the second semester of sophomore year.
