You have likely seen it all before, Hiccup gets chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare but instead of staying to try and prove to his village dragons aren't the monsters they think they are, he leaves. Abandons the world he knows for a world of possibility, a world where he can be him, be free. What if he is one day discovered by a group of dragon riders and chose to join them as they had adventure after adventure. It would be a good life but of course it would never stay so happy, things would change sometimes for the better sometimes for worse. Old scars would surface, old lives reappear and new faces vanish, how would this affect him. Well shall we find out? I don't own the How To Train Your Dragon franchise of course and this is all done for fun. You know the legal stuff. I also don't own the image, I got it off of google as one could expect. For now the story isn't Mature though this may change in the future as I continue so I will make sure to change that if it becomes necessary, just an early warning just in case I break a guideline.

They retreated up the road, chasing the rest of the herd and braying with terror. "Toothless?" He called, but the stallion was nowhere to be seen. "Toothless!" Hiccup called again. The horse had returned to what he once was, a shadow on the horizon. Hiccup heard someone shift behind him, and turned. Leaning on one hip, a woman lowered her shotgun. She stood between him and the town, with an expression he couldn't read. Hiccup recognized the gun- it was one from the ranch. But the woman was not a town resident. Even with her long, blonde locks pulled back in a tight braid, stray hair fell into her striking blue eyes. Her skin, once fair and pale, was now sun-kissed. Her blue skirt billowed in the breeze. She pushed back her beige brimmed hat and widened her eyes at him. "...Hiccup?" Hiccup's eyes widened in recognition, and he returned her dumbfounded expression. Hiccup and the dragon riders are given the powers of the Infinity Stones when captured by an unknown enemy. Going out to the Edge is as much about escaping what gave them these powers as it is following the Dragon Eye. They try to learn their magic as they fight Dagur and the dragon hunters... who may have more ways to fight their new powers than they realize.

This is an OC insert into the HTTYD universe with a bit of my own personal spin. Some of it breaks some of the rules in the universe so if you're a stickler for the rules, this might be one you want to scroll past.

Hiccup Haddock wakes up as his fifteen year old self back on Old Berk, with no recollection of how it happened. I do not own the Httyd world or characters except my own. ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO CRESSIDA COWELL AND DREAMWORKS...respectively.

Instead of staying, Hiccup and Toothless leave Berk. Only to be dragged back when dragons got caught...
