Nina was not happy about leaving the party early but she didn't understand why she had to leave. I sighted putting away all my designs back into my portfolio and left my office through my elevator.

He was there! I can't risk it.....but I can't deprive my daughter of going to her friend's birthday or houses cause of the possibility that he might be there. Revenge is sweet cause it's a comeback but it's not sweet when your child could be involved. Eventually, Mason will know, and eventually, Nina will know. And all I can tell Nina is nothing until she is old enough to understand my reason as an adult, women, and mother and Mason will then have to answer her when she is old enough to comprehend not this young. Her innocence must remain.

Alejandro and I spoke about the possibility of our daughter rejecting him the day she learns he's one gay and two, not her father. But then again we have been raising her to respect all men and women gay or bi and trans, explaining their people with feelings. Since then her little heart grows with respect for all humans.

Heading down the elevator I gather my thoughts and once the doors open I walked into my car. My driver said nothing which is fine with me. Upon. My arrival home I almost considered telling Mason about Nina....but then I remember that the man never believed me when I told him I was pregnant with his own child. Still questions me about men...

Entering the house I heard baby giggles coming from the playroom. I put my bag and portfolio on the foyer table and walked to the playroom finding my baby boy playing with his dad. "I'm home" Alex heard my voice looking up and smiles.

"Ma"

"Ma"

Alex starts crawling towards me smiling. I pick him and kiss his chubby cheeks. "Oh, my baby I've missed!" I look over at Alejandro who stands up and walks up to me and kisses me on my nose. "Hello, gorgeous how was the lion's den?" He asked

Shrugging, "It was alright but, one of the lawyers thinks the California project won't be a success so I fired him." his eyes widen..."come again?"

"I fired the lawyer who didn't believe in our goods cause to build a school in Cali for arts," I said in a more clarified way.

"Which one?"

"The tall redhead one with the cute dimples you were eyeing," I said.

Alejandro blushed heavily, "how you know?"

"Darling, I know my husband and best friend so... I know the look you give to men who you find attractive...I  know what I know," I said cooly. knowing him well, like the back of my palm I was ok with it though things were changing gradually between us.

"Well, your the queen of our empire so if you thought it was the right thing to do...I follow your judgment," he said, sometimes I think he's words are too sweet and perfect in his Alejandro ways.

5 minutes later the house chef announced that dinner is served.

While dinner was being served Nina mopped her way down the stairs unhappy from leaving the party so early. She was staring at her food she sighted. "Why did I have to leave the party early?" She asked curiously

Alejandro looked up at me while I was feeding Alex. "Well my lovely I wanted you to come home early so I could tell you my big surprise for you and it could not wait. That's why I left work earlier today." I said giving a good logical explanation that has nothing to do with the truth.....

Nina looked upon with small wondering eyes. "And what's the surprise mama?" She asked.

"I want you to come with me after school to my office and start working on your dress for your birthday," I told her. Her expression floored, "Abuelita pulled me out of a party for that?" She said disappointed.

"There's more" Alejandro stepped in.

"I want you to help me design a new flower-girl gown line with the title your name," I said keeping a close eye on Nina while Alex grabbed my hand and pulled the spoon into his mouth. I turned to Alex and giggle as I kissed my impatient baby on the head. Nina smiles brightly and jumped in her seat. "NO WAY MAMA!!" She squeals. She jumps out of her chair and ambushes me with hugs and kisses.

I know I know I'm giving my almost 8-year-old child a job basically. No, she's talented and creative and has an eye for color and a love for fabrics she is most defiantly my child......I want her to have an insight into how much work this takes she knows what I do but for her to be part of the design and assembling process is a different story I want her to experience so just in case she doesn't like it can try new things. but I doubted it she has so much potential already.

After Dinner, I was in my studio working on the summer dress line when my phone rang. "Hello?"

"Malia, The Michealson's family, and Elizabeth Renee have confirmed their presence for the show." my Flor said. I smiled "Good...make sure they have good seats." I said putting my pencil down.

"Will do boss," she said chuckling.

"Good-Night Malia."

"Night Flor See you Monday," I said hanging up my phone.

"Two more days," I said to myself as I head out of my studio.
